Colored Mascaras

I'm curious to know your opinion of these and if you think they help enhance the eye. I know that Paula Begoun would say to wear black or black/brown to match your natural eyelash color, but I have owned a Chanel plum and did think it made my brown eyes look a little browner without screaming "purple lashes".

Do you use colored mascara?
