There is an App where you can plug in a ?. I asked for a color analysis and season based on photos I had stored in my computer. I tried different lighting and all came up with Soft Summer. Fun because they suggest brand names of foundations, lipsticks, eyeshadow and blush. They also give you your best fashion colors. Definitely for fun and not scientific but very interesting and thought I would share as professional color analysis can be pricey.

oh how fun. I want to try it

I did it. I uploaded a few pics, answered a couple questions. Interesting results. Im a Soft Summer leaning cool. The colors given as most flattering are the ones I typically gravitate to. Huh. Makeup colors have been an issue. I keep wearing foundations that are too warm and then wonder why I look sick. It hasn't registered in my brain that I am more cool toned. And should be choosing shades along those lines. Instead of wearing wrong tones then trying to fix it after its on my face/lips. Duh. I was happy to read that all of the eyeglasses frames in my photos were good colors for me. Which is why i picked them but you never really know

That's why I used it @smoochy . I have difficulty with finding the right shades in foundations. The lighting in stores is often off and the shades sold to me are too dark when I get them home. This suggested 1NO in Double Wear. Seems good..
Awful! I looked like a ghost. Back to the chat in different lighting without makeup on...

Many, many years ago in another lifetime, I went to a party about this. I always wondered why my rust pantsuit made my face look dull and reddish. I am a spring and got tiny swatches of the colors (or shades of colors) that would work for me. It's amazing and still holds true today. Of course black was a no for me but that hasn't stopped me from years of wearing it.

Years ago I was told I was a soft summer and I shopped accordingly. However, I've since heard about 'dressing your truth' (no affiliation) and understood how contradictory dressing like a soft summer was to who I am. So glad I learned about this other system that covers clothes, makeup, jewelry, accessories and hair and takes personality into account.
pic is not me - just an example of the difference the right colors and styles make

I'm a cool summer and these are my colors.
A cool summer color palette is characterized by soft, muted, and cool tones, often described as "icy" or "powdery." It's a blend of summer and winter colors, featuring blues, pinks, purples, and greens with a cool undertone. Think of colors like soft white, rose beige, various shades of gray, taupe, rose brown, blue gray, muted navy, pale lemon, soft pinks, rose, blue reds, burgundy, soft blues, cool greens, plum, and dusty purples.

I've been interested in this for a long time, and I was asked to be a model twice, once by Carole Jackson's team. So I do believe there is something to it.
I'm an Autumn. I know the colors of fall look good on me. DD is a Summer. She is very fair with green eyes and looks good in the cool colors of summer. She can also wear the gem colors of winter, but sometimes those colors can overwhelm her.
It's fun to play around with this, and although I don't do it much any longer, I believe it's helped me decide colors, especially when I have something special to attend.
It works with makeup too. I look better in peach blush than pink.
The good news is DD and I are opposite. If she buys makeup that doesn't look good on her, it usually looks good on me! ![]()

You have the prettiest colors @monicakm . I made a mistake and had makeup on when I did my analysis. Ended up being a Soft Autumn as the Soft Summer wasn't working . My husband says the autumn colors look terrible on me. I am going to try again tomorrow in natural light.😩
