Clown Makeup

Okay, not really. But I got my Clinique GWP last week from Lord & Taylor, and chose the warmer colors (just can't do a cool pink). The nail enamel is called Really Rio and the Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm is called Heftiest Hibiscus.

Holy Cow! The lip color is intense! I am talking bright orange. I realize bold lip colors are a hot trend, but no can do. I seriously felt like a clown. I have a couple of Clinique Chubby Sticks, and I am much happy with a sheer wash of color than this super-pigmented orange.

For the record, I am fair-skinned, freckled, golden blond, blue-green eyes, early 50's and thin-lipped {#emotions_dlg.sad} Just didn't work for me... Any of you able to pull off this look?
