Thank you JeanLouiseFinch! Very informative. I use Retin-A too a few nights a week. I used to use Skinceuticals vitamin c and it's wonderful but would like something less expensive. I am going to take a look at this Mad Hippie Vitamin C, I've never heard of it before.
I like the Shea Terra Organics Marula oil. Sometimes I use the African black soap.
I think I am still going to try Tatcha cleansing oil first and the Fleur de lis in lavendar. I was looking at Shu Uemura and SK-II cleansing oil but both are mineral oil based, hardly worth $60. I think Juice beauty has a new cleansing oil, as does Garnier.

JeanLouiseFinch ~ I cant tell you how much I appreciate your very detailed response. I actually do remember the Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum being discussed but I wasn't sure it was by you. I am actually going to print out your response so that I can do more research on the products you mentioned. Having oily/combo skin, I was so turned off by the thought of oil cleansing that I just never would give it consideration but it is AMAZING how my skin feels so much more balanced now. In the past I used products that were oil free and within hours I would be digging in my handbag for my blotting papers. I love the softness and suppleness that I am experiencing now with oil cleansing. I am so happy I took the leap and gave it a chance. Thank you again for responding. I am sure that you have done the same for many of us and you really should get some sort of commission for your efforts!

MarabellaSpain - You're welcome! If/when you decide to try the Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum, look around online for the best price. It's the most expensive on the MH website, walgreens dot com, and drugstore dot com. There are several options out there - iHerb, Vitacost, Amazon, eBay. You'll just have to figure out where you can get the most bang for your buck using a coupon code, getting free shipping, or cash back from a rebate site. I've only been able to find the Fleur de Lis enzyme powder on Amazon.
ceegee2 - You're also welcome! I know what you mean about the thought of purposely putting oil on your skin. It sounded gross to me at first, too, but then the whole oil dissolves oil thing made sense. When I first tried it with WEN oils and saw results of slowing the oil production down on my scalp, I was ready to try it on my face and it's really paid off for me. If you also decide to try the Alpha Hydrox Souffle, be aware that you might experience some tingling or a prickly feeling at first. It goes away in a couple of minutes, but you might be alarmed and think something is wrong if you don't know. I'd recommend easing into it until your skin becomes a little more accustomed to using it - maybe every three days for a couple of weeks, then every two for a couple of weeks, and then daily.
Much good luck to you both. I hope you'll post about your experiences with your new products.

I tried it and I like it even better than Josie Maran's. I put it on a dry face and wet my clarisonic with warm water and use it on top of the oil My face feels wonderful after. And the best part, it's only around $8 and I can get it at Walgreens. Great stuff.
The Garnier oil has mineral oil as the first ingredient.

The Mad Hippie Vitamin C is in my Amazon cart. Good price even if I don't love it. Just waiting for stock to come in for the Kerastase shampoo I use. I plan to try the Fleur de Lis rice powder in now roman Chamomile and Tatcha cleansing oil. The Mad Hippie antioxidant oil has sparked interest too. It says Whole Foods carries it but I called the one near me and they do not carry MH. I plan to buy Thayers rose petal toner, that's easy at the local GNC.
I once upon a time tried the Komenuka Bijin rice powder but can't really remember if I liked it or not. At the time the hair conditioner had a cult following but I wasn't in love. And I used to use Chidoriya camellia oil but it became hard to find and well, I forgot about it.
Now, I just need to find something for my nails....weak, thin, breaking. The reviews for Perfect Formula are not very good.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Marbella, I found something very nice at Whole Foods by NutraNail. It's a serum in a polish looking bottle. It soaks right into the nail and cuticle. After the first use I saw dryness on my actual nail improve. I've been using it for about two weeks and have seen a big improvement. They have two items for nail strength/growth. One had some ingredients that didn't send me over the moon but this one did. They also have a cuticle remover. I tried it and was underwhelmed. I found it along a wall of skincare. I will re-purchase this.

Is it the NutraNails, Naturals, Nail Growth Serum? I googled, iherb has this for $5.76. If this is it, for $6, I'm willing to try. It says can be used with or without polish. Thanks for the suggestion!

I use TATCHA cleansing oil. I love it. I can see a big improvement in my dry, aging, skin. However, I wouldn't be afraid to use a good oil for large pores, or oily skin for that matter.
