You're welcome, too. I don't want to be close minded, but I really find it difficult to "cheat" on him.

What good timing, I have been looking for a new cleansing oil to try. I currently have DHC. Those that have tried Tatcha and Dr. Young camelia oils, do they rinse off clean? On amazon, it lists the ingredients for dr. Young as camelia oil, olive oil, macademia oil & lavender oil. Wouldn't that leave a greasy film? I've used olive oil before. How do they compare?
The Rice & Papaya Enzyme Powder fleur de lis sounds intriguing. Too bad they don't sell via fulfilled by amazon to get free ship. What kind of results?

Thanks. That's good to know. I think I'm itching more to try the Tatcha cleansing oil. But they both sound worthy to try.

Hi MarbellaSpain, I know what you mean about the free shipping, but IMO even with the shipping I'm still money ahead buying Dr. Young's Camellia Deep Cleansing Oil and the Fleur de Liz Rice and Papaya Enzyme Powder. They each have more product yet cost less than Tatcha's. I'm on my second bottle of each product and have been very pleased. To reassure you, there is a sugar surfactant in Dr. Young's oil in addition to the products you listed. That helps the emulsification of the oil to turn it milky and then enables it to rinse completely from the face. I start out with a dry face, rub the oil around, add some water, rub it around more and then remove with a warm, wet washcloth. This has been my nightly cleansing routine for a few months now and it's the best thing I've ever done for my face. The Fleur de Lis enzyme powder is very gentle. I use that every morning. This system has given me clean, smooth skin. In the event that a zit pops up, it's gone within a day or two without any special treatment. If you decide to try the enzyme powder, be advised that it comes in an unscented formula and a few scented. The unscented isn't horrible, but reminds me of dry babyfood rice cereal. I've tried the vanilla one and will probably try another scent with my next order. If you have any specific questions let me know.

Because of the price of Tatcha I will be trying your recommendations. I am curious as to whether you use a serum or vitamin c product. Also, do you use an oil product as a moisturizer if needed? It sounds as though our skin types are similar. TIA!On 2/20/2014 MarbellaSpain said:What good timing, I have been looking for a new cleansing oil to try. I currently have DHC. Hi ceejee2 - I hope you enjoy the products as much as I do. I was intrigued by the Tatcha demo, but just find the prices too high when there are other equally good or better products out there. It does take a little investigating, but they can be found.
To answer your questions, yes, I do use a Vitamin C serum. I've been a very strong proponent of Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum. I've posted numerous times about it that it's almost embarrassing. As a matter of fact, I'm kind of surprised that you haven't seen those posts - LOL. I believe it has a better, more stable form of Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate/SAP) than the more commonly used L-Ascorbic Acid (you can read about it on the madhippie dot com website, if you're interested). I've been using it every morning since probably late last summer/early fall and haven't experienced any kind of irritation or adverse reaction. It comes in a dark bottle to protect the ingredients from light exposure. It does have a dropper for dispensing, which some will argue compromises the product, but it doesn't bother me since the dropper is out of the bottle for a matter of seconds and the SAP is stable. I began experimenting with some oils a few months ago, using them both as morning and nighttime moisturizers. After trying out a few, I've ended up sticking with Mad Hippie Antioxidant Facial Oil as my PM moisturizer and Mad Hippie Face Cream as my AM moisturizer (just didn't like oil in the morning before putting on makeup). For the eye area, I'm using Shea Terra Organics Argan and Green Coffee Around the Eye Serum at night and Mad Hippie Eye Cream in the morning. I wish I got a commission for the times I've recommended Dr. Young, Fleur de Lis, and Mad Hippie. I really like these products and how they work on my skin. My complexion is in its best condition ever. I attribute that to the products I've named plus using Thayers toner after every cleanse, treating with Alpha Hydrox Souffle every morning and prescription RetinA/Tretinoin a few nights a week. If you have any other questions, let me know. Good Luck! ![]()

I also have combination/oily skin and I just purchased the Tatcha today. Regular Purity breaks me out, the gel version has worked well but overall I needed something better. Hoping this does the trick.

Shu Uemura has one especially for oily skin. It's fantastic! I've use a lot of cleansing oils and Shu has the best.
