@Franklinbell

I use the Sigma brush cleaning mat and love it. This mat has different sized raised textures which I find beneficial in cleaning  powder, liquid and cream makeup just beautifully on any sized brush. I also use the mat dry to swipe off any excess color if I accidently overload  eyeshadow, blush or powder. I find using the mat to be faster than my prior palm of my hand cleansing. I purchased my Sigma mat on line from Costco. It came with a good sized liquid cleanser too and is one of my best utilitarian beauty purchases.

I also use Purity, Dawn or shampoo to clean my brushes but I do mix in a tiny bit of conditioner in the final rinsing. I read this tip years ago and it has worked really well for me. My brushes look like new and many definitely are not. I do the same when cleaning paint brushes too.

I reshape and hang my brushes like @SilleeMee shared. If I have a large fluffy bush that wants to oddly flare, I'll wrap it in a thin strip of paper towel or kleenex to hold the shape and dry it like that.
