Clarisonic & Dry Skin

[ Edited ]

58 Recently notice my skin dryer. Purchased WEN 3-19 Fragrance Free, Love this moisturizer. My question is, Tried Clarisonic do you think if you suffer from dry skin, Will it make it worse? Used it for year's. Thank you. 🌸

Clarisonic  is just a brush.  I guess it would depend on what products  you use with it.

@Sweet_Serenity - I use WEN with my Clarisonic and have no problems - skin is left soft and smooth!

@Sweet_SerenityMy skin, except for some small parts of the T-Zone is extremely dry.  No matter my day, I use a good serum as well as a moisturizer in the AM, sometimes add moisture during the day, and use a nightly serum and moisturizer again.

I love my nightly Clarisonic cleanse for the smoothness it gives my skin and I absolutely believe my skin accepts the products better after the Clarisonic than when I occasionally just cleanse with the same product and no Clarisonic.

We all have to do our own experimenting, but that's my regimen at 74 and has been my regimen for close to a decade now.

I have very dry, sensitive skin with various issues. I'm in the same age category as you stated.  The key is the type of brush head that use as the others have mentioned. I alternate between normal and  sensitve depending if I have makeup on or not. I find that this works best for me.

Thank you, Everyone. Great advice. WEN user too.
Think reorder Clarisonic. Tried Purity seemed drying.

@Sweet_Serenity, I am 66 years old and have been using my Clarisonic for about 10 years. Have not had any issues with it and my dry skin. However, I do make sure that I use good products to keep my face hydrated.

@Sweet_Serenity, the only time that I have ever used Purity was to clean my makeup brushes.  Would never use that on a dry skin. That stuff is awfully harsh.

I have used Clarisonic on my extremely dry, sensitive skin for a long time.

I used either the sensitive or luxe brush head. I would never use Purity on dry skin, plus smell is awful for me. I just use good old CeraVe Moisturizing Cleanser with it.

I also have psoriasis and the dermatologist recommended clarisonic with a gentle cleanser to help keep me psoriasis clear.
