Clairisonic Question

Is the clairisonic head supposed to move or spin at all when you turn it on? I have never watched a demo of it, and I have been using mine for a month now, but it just vibrates and makes a humming noise - is that the way it's supposed to work? This may seem like a stupid question, but I want to make sure mine is working right. Thanks for any replies.
