Ok so I admit it, I live in a cave, whatever.....that's beside the point here....so anyhoo, I just saw the show Toddlers and Tiara's for the first time yesterday and I finally got my jaw picked up off the floor. Is this stuff for real? I couldn't believe my eyes when they were putting false eyelashes and all that makeup on a 2 year old! I'm a Licensed Nail Tech and pageant or no pageant, there's no way in H E double hockey sticks I'd put acrylic nails on a child no matter what their parents said or how much money they offered me! Those poor kids looked so miserable and others were just plain old out of control....one little girl (I forgot how old she was) was doing a booty spank dance and another one who I think was 2 was dressed up like Julia Roberts in the movie Pretty Woman in her hOOker outfit and parading around on the stage and another one was dressed like Madonna with cones on her outfit! Do people really think that's a cute thing to do to children? I can't recall how many times I heard the kids say they were doing it to win the money and how many kids crying because they didn't win the big title and saying it's because they aren't good enough. Parents admitting to bribing their kids with candy, money, ponies and everything in between to practice! One lady had a real (white) horse in her house and was dying it purple and flat ironing it's mane! Are you kidding me! Some of the mothers were ruthless!.....please someone tell me this was all a show for tv and they don't do this in real life!!!

I never won the parent of the year reward but dang after seeing that show I don't feel so bad!
