Chi Flat Iron and Bag

Just wondering if anyone has actually tried putting the new Chi in the bag that comes with it. It is advertised as a thermal bag, which led me to believe that you put your iron in there to store or travel. Can it possibly be just a purse? It really is pretty useless here.
