Hi. Has/does anyone use this skincare line? It is insanely expensive, but I would love to hear your experiences with it.

I got a sample of Ultra Vital & the Cell Lift serum at Saks earlier this week. It is way out of my budget, I actually didn't know how much it cost when I got the samples. The Ultra Vital seems nice so far but is too heavy for my skin for daytime. I would be interested in purchasing if it were a lot cheaper. Some sellers on Ebay are selling it cheaper but it's still very pricey plus at that cost, I'd worry about it being counterfit. Bushy just wrote a rave review on Esssential Day Spa's product review forum. I'd love to hear from other users too. What improvements they've seen in their skin and how long a container lasts.

I've never tried it or run into it previously. I did find a list of ingredients but the site did not list any prices. Probably a good thing. The Ulta Lift has a very unremarkable ingredient deck. Don't feel you're missing out due to its expense. Looks to me like very good branding and not a lot else. It's not terrible but I wouldn't expect to pay more than $30 for a product with similar ingredients.

Thanks for your responses. This stuff would be out of my price range. I saw a serum that was maybe $360 -- small bottle -- on ebay.

Hi Bella, I got a pamphlet on the line and it says they use "active stabilised bio-integral cells obtained according to the CellControl (trademark) method", whatever that means. I was only able to find a partial ingredients list online when I looked at Cellcosmet's, Saks & Essential Day Spa's websites. I do have the boxes of samples with ingredients lists on them but the print is so small I'd need to magnify it 10 times to be able to read it. What I can make out on the Ultra Vital is as follows: Water, Hydrogenated Vegetable oil, Hydrolyzed Fibronectin, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrolyzed Glychosaminoglycans, Propylene glycol, Hydrolyzed Actin, Decyl oleate, Glycerin, Cetearyl Ethylthexanoane, Ceteryl Alcohol, C12-20 Acid PEG-8 Ester, PPG-25-Laureth-25, PEG-5, Pentaerythrityl Ether, Fragrance, Cetyl Alcohol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Glyceryl Sterate, Cetyl Palmitate, Glucose, Sodium Chloride, Methylparaban, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Simethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Propylparaben, Citric Acid, Magnesium, Chloride, Sodium-Hydroxide, Potassium Chloride, Ricinoleth-40. I had to wear 2 reading glasse to make that out
. The print on the CellLift serum is even smaller so I'm not even going to give that a try until I can find a magnifying glass, LOL! I've never heard of some of these ingredients. What do you think?
Oh and 1.7 oz of Ultra Vital is $370 and 1 oz of CellLift serium is $495.

What do I think? I think I need to buy some fancy packaging, toss a formula in there and charge a fortune! But seriously, that is craziness. For that price I can not believe they would use some generic hydrogenated oil. Three hydrolyzed ingredients are proteins. Hydrolyzing them may reduce their water binding abilities which is basically what they are going to do. Glychosaminoglycans (GAGS) are one of three components of the dermis. They are a protein and sugar combination. They love to bind with water. Hyaluronic acid is a GAG and probably what this is. Ricinoleth-40 is an emulsifier/solubulizer made from castor oil. I've heard of it as a preservative before but I've never seen it used as one. Looks like that is what they are doing here.
The rest of the ingredients are very, very inexpensive emollients, emulsifier, skin feel enhancers, and preservatives. They seem to have used quite a few preservatives. I guess to preserve all of the proteins. Not sure I'd buy this one at $30 let alone over $300!

Both my husband and I tried several products from the Cellcosmet line a couple of years ago. We purchased the full-sized products, so we had ample time to decide if we liked the line. We purchased face, eye, and body products.
We both found the products to be much too heavy for our skin (we are both in our 50's, and I have combination skin with menopausal issues, and my husband has very dry skin). I actually broke out and had major problems with milia after using this line. My husband experinced clogged pores and skin congestion as well. I remember thinking that my skin actually looked worse after these products than it had in years ![]()
I even tried the CellBust XT cream for the two months as directed and saw absolutely no results. I have had better results with Clarins body products.
As for the facial creams, I have had much better and consistent results with Kate Somerville and other lower-priced (comparatively speaking) lines. My husband still prefers Kiehl's.
I would definitely sample the line before committing to full-sized products like we did. I think if you have very dry skin, they might work, but I just found them to be suffocating to my skin. Best wishes to you.

Thanks Bella Caro, I appreciate your evaluation of the product & its ingredients. Can you make a recomendati for a moisturizer that has a lot of effective ingredients in it? I'm out of my daytime moisturizer and didn't plan to repurchase what I was using because I bought it twice stepply discounted and I can't find it close to that proce anymore plus it didn't really absorb that well anyway. So I'm looking for something new to try. TIA.

Thanks for your review. I got a sample of one of the creams last week and it is too heavy for my 60 year old combination skin. I was using it only at night but last night I saw the tell tale signs of a red raised rashy breakout beginning on my checks due to dimethicone in the product. That's how my skin always reacts to dimethicone unfortunately. So it's a no go for me for all the above reasons plus the cost of the product being so high.
