Re: Castor oil/baking soda for brown spots

@LTT1  And I'm sure your skin looks beautiful too...use it long enough and you reap the benefits and do not need another tube of anything!  Except day moisturizer with sunscreen of course 😎

Oh yeah girl, my hands looking good 👍

@MG Chris.  Dr. Nassifs pads haven't done a thing for my brown spots and I've been using them for a couple of years.  Actually, they've gotten worse.

Since neither castor oil or baking powder is a bleaching agent, how could they cause spots to fade?

Baking soda is a bleaching agent when used on the skin. It interferes with melanin pigment production which is responsible for brown spots. It also exfoliates the surface of the skin and, with consistent use, the skin will appear brighter.  But the downside is it dries the skin out.

There are different kinds of brown spots.  They also go to different depths. Fortunately, for me the pads are making a difference. Skins Hand Restore also fades mine significantly but the pads have really lightened them even more.

I have used countless tubes of Ambi cream and it did nothing. It had such great reviews I was hopeful.

I hope you find something that works❤️

@bmorechick

I have only one brown spot.  It's on the back of my right hand.  It hasn't changed since it developed.  I don't know if my skincare keeps it from darkening or if it's just not going to.  But I know many women here complain about them so I thought I'd post it.  Right now I'm dealing with this nasty scar on my chest.  Scar strips are NOT working for me.
