I was watching Q this morning and Carmindy was very inspiring!  Believe me, I am no great beauty and my skin has seen more than enough bad sunburns, which hasn't helped me at all...

But she was so cute and inspiring me to just focus on the feature you love best and have fun with light makeup. She said her Mother was an artist and helped her see that makeup is like art, example, using subtle watercolors as eye liner.  It's not often I feel inspired about makeup these days ( kinda giving up), so I wanted to share. See if you can catch it! Worth watching. Thanks Carmindy! ❤️

@Skyegirl21 I always liked her on What Not To Wear. She had a nice, non-heavy handed approach to makeup and gave women an easy routine. I also thought she seemed very nice.

While watching Carmindy, the few things I do differently are: I apply concealer before foundation...you end up using much less foundaton once darkness and imperfections are covered. Sometimes, no foundation is needed. I also place blush further back, not on apples, especially on a woman over 40. "Apples" are lower once you stop smiling dragging the face downward. 

When she did the college students, I doubt they needed full foundation, spot concealing would have been enough. 

It was quite weird seeing NY as it used to be...all the people and traffic. It's like a ghost town now. I kept wondering how long ago they filmed that piece.

I liked watching her too.  I have some of her lipsticks that I like but haven’t tried any of her other products.  I might, though, at some point.
