Re: Can't wait to try my Doll 10 makeup

I used the Doll10 kit today for the second time. I liked it even more than the first time! Though for some reason today the foundation seemed to be a bit too light for me. But it settled and binded with my skin color in a little while.

My most favorite of all is the Mascara and the blush. I like everything else too. I probably will need to use even less foundation, because ANY foundation is usually is my least favorite make-up on a face. I seem to like my skin without any of it, period. Need to learn to apply the amount that will be not changing the look of my bare skin at all.

I also love the lipstick, and want to get it eventually in nude, but more intense shade. I like a little more intense color, but still "nude" shade.

Doll10 lady really knows how to make very sophisticated colors in lipsticks! Way better than the rest of lines. I also, like the consistency and level of moisture in lipstick. Normally, it's too much and too "creamy", thus does not keep for long. This holds well, unless I eat, of course. My lips are not chapped, but well conditioned with the skincare I use, Doll10 lipsticks work great on them!

Thank you @WenDoll10girl for getting me into this kit! Smiley Happy

Hi.  Had not checked messages in a while.  You are very welcome.  I hope you are enjoying this kit.  I think she is in tonight with it again at 9:00pm according to her Instagram. I did not get to watch the TSV shows last time due to my work schedule, so I'm looking forward to watching tonightSmiley Happy

I'm usually always a mediun so this surprised me so back it goes for the tan shade. Sigh...another 2 week wait. Hope the tan shade isn't too dark.  Loved the blush, will also use as eyeshadow and lipstick and the mascara was nice but I too noticed some smudges later in the day. I usually always go with a waterproof formula so I'll probably top this with one to seal it. The lipstick was light and pretty but I always mix my own colors and this looked great with "Indian Pink" by NYX. The gloss is a lovely topping.  So now I'll mark my calendar and hope that the Q return department is on the ball. Can't wait to get all those goodies back to play with this Summer. Thanks all for all the great informative reviews!

@silkyk thanks for your review and I hope QVC is abe to exchange it for the right shade. I haven't had luck with them doing that for me in the past but I know some have.

Also, I'm glad to hear I am not the only one with the mascara smear issue. I have never had that with the mascaras I've used as I don't have oily lids or anything and I don't wear waterproof mascaras normally so this was a first for me. It is too bad because I do like how my lashes looked but I have other good mascaras that look the same without the smearing so that is fine that this one does't work as well. If I decide to get one of the AD sets I will gift the mascara to someone else.

@HappyDaze I hope you give the mascar anothe try.  It can be a bit tricky at first.  I have not had any issues with it flaking or smearing, but a lot would come out at first.  I now swirl the brush around the opening as I bring out the brush.  It takes care of the extra product.

@WenDoll10girl I think you misunderstood my issue with the smearing of the mascara. Yes I didn't like that brush picks up wayyyy too much so you have to wipe it off before using it or it causes too much to get on your lashes but the smearing I mentioned occured a few hours after I applied the mascara and it rubbed off onto the area just below my eyebrow. So the smearing I had an issue with didn't occur when applying it but after a few hours of wear. Smiley Happy

@HappyDaze Oops.  Sorry.  I have not experienced that issue, so I thought you meant while applying.

Sorry for the typos.  That is what happens sometimes when I used my iPhone to post.

Well, here goes my review:

I love the lipstick with the gloss. The lipstick by itself is very matt, but with the gloss on top it is a perfect beautiful color for me.  Wore pretty good.

The brush is very nice and does a good job applying the makeup.  I tried my fingers today and noticed the makup settled more into my pores, which I have issues with anyway.  I did use a moisturizer and primer.  The color medium is not good for me at all. Woman Sad  I am pink toned and I compared it to others I have been using and next to them it looks a lot more yellow.  It didn't have the coverage I need and the concealor did not help much.  It does feel like nothing on your face.

The cream blush is a pretty pink color for me, but between the foundation and the blush on top, they did finish a bit dry on my dry skin.

The first time I used the mascara I guess I didn't realize the "brush" is actually one of those plastic things with spikes on it - that's a deal breaker for me, although this one was the best of ones I have tried.  I may try using a different brush with it.

I guess that's it!  Now that I read it over, I hope I don't sound too critical or negative.  I had such high hopes for this kit - maybe too high!  I convinced myself it would be perfect for me.  This is just my review and how it worked for me, it is definitly nice makeup and I am really glad most of you are loving it.

I will use the lipstick and gloss, the blush, mascara and the brush (i'm a brush addict anyway!), so I will keep the kit.

I can't give the foundation to my daughter because she's the same coloring as I am, so don't know what I will do with that.  Had been thinking mabe I should try the light color, but then watched a video where Doris said there was more yellow/warmth in the light (than the fair) so I'm guessing it wouldn't work for me either.  I can't believe she uses the light and looks so cool toned on TV??  But then she is such a beautiful woman anyway.

hi herroyallioness-I'm sorry the color was bad! i know you were going between light and medium and i described it as light medium. It doesnt pull any yellow on me at all! im really bummed it didnt work for you. Iwas just the opposite-i had very low expectations-as i dont care for her lip products and was really impressed by everything. I know how it feels tho-to b bummed when youre so looking forward to something! Sorry if i steered you wrong Smiley Sad

I love the mascara, didn't think I would when I saw the brush and how wet it looked but works great, very natural looking not that fake spiky spidery look which I don't like.

The light is perfect for me. I usually am light but sometimes a light/medium but this is perfect. no pink and no yellow undertone for me like so many have.

As I posted, the only drawback(if you want to call if a drawback) is it dries very fast so you have to work  quicker than I am use to but once use to it the finish is perfect for my dry mature skin.

I have her lipstick/gloss duo sold here on the Q but they are more creamy than the one in this kit. The one in this kit isn't as creamy but is okay. The blush is the most natural for me, very soft natural looking pink.

I can't wear the IT CC foundation, way too sticky/tacky on me but I did like the IT cushion compact foundation a lot but just thought it too expensive for the little amount of foundation you got so I didn't reorder.

For me anyway, this is the most natural looking kit I have tried, so far anyway, and like everything in the kit but will say the concealer doesn't conceal what I wanted it for but does a great job in under eye darkness when I don't get enough sleep so, glad I got the kit BUT as you all say, we are all so different and what works for one doesn't always work for someone else so, glad there are so many choices out there.

@doglover3 I feel the same way about the foundation on this kit.  The color match is perfect.  I was thrilled when I first used it.  I finally had a foundation that gave me a natural look and matched my skin tone perfectly without too much yellow or oxidizing into an orange shade.  It also feels light.  With others I tried I felt like I could not wait to take them off.  I agree.  It's a good thing there are so many choices out there.

Re: Can't wait to try my Doll 10 makeup

WenDoll10girl, exactly, it is on me a good 12 to 16 hours every day so it has to feel nice on. I couldn't wait to get my IT CC off, stayed very sticky/tacky on me the whole time I had it on and believe me, I didn't use much at all. I felt like I had a mask on.

I was so surprised I love this mascara after seeing how wet the brush was I thought oh boy, globs all over but it wasn't, perfect, nice think but yet natural looking lashes that stay soft, love it.

So right on the foundation too, best color match I have found anywhere regardless of any.
