I hope I am doing this correctly, I am attempting to start a new topic in the beauty forum.

Wanted to purchase Wei East soy mask $28, there was a beauty coupon for $10 off $25, this was mentioned on this forum. I was unable to use coupon and informed it was only for some customers.

I assume if I called CS this would be remedied.  I feel this is very unethical, a form of bait and switch. The site informs you of this in tiny print while checking out an item.

I no longer want to purchase item.

This is not 'bait and switch'. Bait and switch is when a store advertises an item on sale, then tells you that it's not available and tries to sell you a more expensive item in it's place.

@IMW   Which company were you ordering from?  We don't have coupons here at QVC.

It isn't actually a bait and switch scenario but I certainly understand your frustration. However, since that was a coupon for HSN you might want to contact their customer service and let them know about your frustration as I am sure QVC won't do anything about it and probably actually smugly smiling knowing a competitor site didn't get your business, lol). Sorry it didnt work for you but that is not bait & switch....The coupons were mailed out to the people who could use them so unless you got it in a email it wouldnt work. Its not hsn fault that someone posted coupon on a forum..

@Melvin-QVC it was for HSN, not QVC.

No bait and switch here.  For some reason, you/your purchase didn't qualify.  Period.  I don't recall exactly, but there may have been a stipulation for that code, like using the HSN card, or something like that.  Or maybe the code was expired?

Many times the link in an e mail is tied either to the person receiving the email or is coded to be a 'one time use' only.

I'm not following you here .... just what was "baited" and what do you think was "switched"?
