Wow.  I've never heard of microwaving gel eyeliner pencils before.  I agree with you @ECBG  that 10 seconds seems excessive.  My microwave would melt the pencil in 10 seconds.  

 

Have you tried it yet?

I saw where the gel liner POT could be microwaved, not the pencil.

  Some of the ladies mentioned having known about using a lighter on an eyeliner pencil.
