@Shanus

I just read that to soften gel eyeliner, microwave (lid off), for up to 10 seconds.

Our microwave is so strong, I think 3 seconds would do the little softening I need.  (They showed the BB eyeliner as the example.)

Hmmmmm..........

In the 80's we had those eye liner pencils (red), I think by Maybelline.  Came in brown or black.  Had to use a pencil sharpener to sharpen it.  We'd use a lighter or a match to soften the pencil.  Anyone else do that?

@ScrapHappy I remember my older sisters doing that very carefully.

I just tuck the pencil (cap on)  in my bra to warm it while I wash my face and put on skin care.  Gets it warm enough for me to see a bit of difference.

@ECBG ~ My sister-in-law used Maybelline (red) eye pencil in black.  Always had her trusty Bic lighter to warm pencil up.

Hard to judge the amount of seconds needed to soften up an eyeliner pencil in a microwave.  I'd try placing it in a bowl of hot water with cap on.

I had forgotten I have seen that method used before!  I probably saw it in college from someone on the hall.

I have a friend who still wears those Maybelline eyeliners and still uses a lighter to soften it before she uses it.  LOL
