Calista new Perfecter...does your lcd screen go off while using?

I bought the larger size...but the screen goes off right away while using. I am not any where near the on/ off button. I thought it was defective. I can't imagine why it would go off because we wouldn't know if it was on or not. Can anyone tell me if this is happening to you? Thanks!

Mine does go on and off if I pick it up. It's on one minute and then looks like it's off. I am wondering if mine is defective. Sometimes I can read the numbers and sometimes I can't. I bought the larger barrel in pink.

Thanks. Mine doesn't come back on at all. I am having another one sent out, but if it's supposed to do that, I can cancel. I just don't understand why it would do that because there is no other way to know if it's on or off.

Mine is. I don't know if it's the light hitting the screen or it's turning on and off.

Could it be the angle you are looking at it, sideways versus straight on? I know some digital displays are difficult to read at certain angles.

I got the "1 inch" size, although in my opinion I consider it a "2 inch" size.

On pages 8-9 of the Owner's Manual, it states how to use the Lock function, the LCD will keep blinking until setting temperature is reached, about 3 minutes. Then press the on/off button twice within 3 seconds, temperature adjust function will be locked. A lock mark will appear on the LCD. To unlock, press same button twice and the Lock mark will disappear. To shut off hold on/off button for about 3 seconds. The display stays on until unit is shut off.

Hope this helps.

The barrel is 1"" and teeth make up the rest of the barrel. People asked her for a smaller barrel and apparently she didn't listen to their request. This was the apparent number one request in most reviews and on her facebook page.

Thank you so much, I'll try that tomorrow morning. It might also be the angle I'm looking at the LCD screen.

Those are great safety features. I left my Prestige one from the other channel on all day. Apparently it doesn't have auto off. I'm so OCD about unplugging things, but I must have missed it. My flat iron went off, but boy will I now make that mistake again!
