Hey ladies, I'm looking at the pictures of the Calista Tools Perfector tool, I can't tell if there are bristles like a brush or plastic knob-like bristles. Wink If any one has one of these tools can you tell me what the bristles are like on this thing? Thanks so much!

Plastic knob like bristles. They are like fatter versions of a traditional brush curling iron.

So it's basically a curling iron w/plastic brush then? I was thinking air went through it for some reason, more like a blow dryer. I guess I might have to keep searching for the perfect tool! Thanks Tigriss!

NO a traditional hot brush curling iron. You use it with dry hair only! Wet hair would be a bad thing! Watch the video if you can. They are available for your to look at via Target. I have this one, the Prestige from the other shopping channel and the Tron (from Asia, that gets much hotter and has ionic/ceramic heat along with heated spokes) I got it for a steal from a vender on ebay. They are normally around $130. There is another one at Folica called H2O Pro. They are all very similar and work very similar, but the Tron and H2O Pro get hotter than the other two that only have two adjustable heat setting, low and high. I now have a very short do, a long pixie, and use them for different effect in my hair. The Tron gets the best curl while the Perfecter and Prestige work well to add volume and straighten it out if I sleep with it wet instead of blow drying it.

I love this tool and use it often....it doesn't burn your scalp or hands like others I have tried.

I like my cheap Target brush curling iron a lot better. I sent the Perfector back asap.

I have the cheaper Conair ones in several sizes, but it doesn't glide through my hair like the Perfector or Prestige or Tron do. My super fine hair gets caught around the edges of the bristles, since they slide into slots on the barrel, and in the crevice between the barrel and the handle.

Kim, I have a cheap Revlon hot air brush I bought at Walmart that works perfectly on damp hair which I think is what you're looking for. I actually bought a more expensive one first, but like the cheap one better. It has bristles like a brush and there are 4 different air settings on it.

I also have the perfector and love it for days when I don't wash my hair. It's not like a regular curling iron at all, I don't roll my hair up on it, I have a whole different technique, sort of pulling like a flat iron and then twisting to curl the ends. I can also just put it under the hair at my crown for volume height.
