I bought it when it first came out.  Ended up sending it back.  Thought it was difficult to use.  I went through cosmetology school too..  No intrest is the updated one.

Every time they have this as a TSV I am always tempted to order it but I hesitate to do so.

I had one of the originals and it became my favorite hair tool and lasted for years. I loved it but when it finally quit working I replaced it with a Revlon brand only because the cost was way less.

I gave my original one to my nice a couple of years ago and bought a smaller size. She's still using it. I'm tempted to get the 3/4 inch one. I had to get my about 7 inches of my hair cut several months ago because so much of it was falling out due to a severe Lupus flare. But I think I'll pass. I bought her electric curlers and I really like them.

My perfector is several years old and works fine.  I use it to tame my cowlick and add a little shape to my shoulder length bob.  Love it and keep it at hand for touching up my hair with little effort. Has always worked fine for me.
