Calista Embellish Definer question

I tried this product yesterday, it seem to really do well in my hair and I was very pleased. When I clap my hands, lol, I don't get the stretchy elastic between them that I see on TV. Is there a trick to that? It said just put a small amount which I did. Thank you.
