Re: CLEANSING BALM RECOMMENDATIONS

Call me old school but I only use a good foaming cleanser, no oils or balms for me.

@ShanusJuno Skin Clean 10 cleansing balm (light beige color jar) is great. Get it on Amazon and not expensive. What specific cleanser do you typically use after your cleansing oil if you don’t mind sharing? Still trying to find a favorite second cleanser. Thanks!

Juno is made in china.

My favorite and one that I repurchased three times is Huda Clean Genie.  No tight feeling after using it and rinses easily. I don't know about mascara since I wear false lashes but you can Google it and check unincentivized reviews on Sephora.

@Shanus I use ELF cleansing balm (in winter only) and typically follow with the elf holy hydration cleanser.  Love both and so reasonably priced.  I only wear one coat of mascara as eye makeup so no issues with it melting off or burning but I always keep my eyes closed.  The only reason I follow with a cleanser is I do not like that feeling after using a cleansing balm...just feels like something is left behind. I have oily skin and only experience some dryness in winter, hence winter use only.

@bmorechick I had never used a cleansing balm and thought the same thing.  Then I tried Banila cleansing balm, and was SHOCKED that when I rinsed with water,  my face felt absolutely clean and soft.  Like you,  I HATE the feeling of something remaining on my skin.  I did not get that at all with Zero.

@nyc1 I gotta be careful that my pores don't get clogged up as I have slightly oily skin so I would wash off a balm no matter what it was actually.  Also have to go very light on moisturizing...nothing thick or heavy.   Interesting though!

Re: CLEANSING BALM RECOMMENDATIONS

I've used and loved Clinique Take the Day Off for years.

However, in the harshest of winters, I have resorted to old fashioned Pond's Cold Cream which is soothing on parched, chapped skin.

I'm sure you've made up your mind by now, but in case not, I recommend Paula's Choice cleansing balm.  I've used that as well as Naturium's and even though Naturium thoroughly removes my make-up, a couple of times it has burned my eyes.  Paula's Choice cleansing balm comes in a tube so great for travel, too.

True Botanicals cleansing balm can be used on your eyes. You can buy TB on QVC now too if there is no store by you.

Re: CLEANSING BALM RECOMMENDATIONS

Hello !

I always use Lancome Bi-facil double eye makeup remover first - I find it rinses cleanly and doesn't dry out my lashes or create milia. Then I cleanse my face with La Roche Posay and Cerave cleansers. Depending on my skin at the time ( I have combo skin; so sometimes more oily, sometimes more dry) They make very affordable washes for all skin types.  I got mine in Target.  Both were recommended by my dermatologist for the best cleaning of the skin and leaving it in Ph balance. Then follow up with what ever moisturize your skin needs at the time.

Hope that helps !
