CARMINDY: LIPSTICK SNOB

OK, so I've liked some of her lipsticks, but not the gold and turquoise packaging. I'm a sucker for the sleek, black cases of lipsticks, compacts and mascaras. Even some drugstore products come in black...Revlon and L'Oreal are are two.

I ordered the rose set of 2 w/ pencils on The Szish List Show last night to try. If I like it, I'll transfer the bullet to an empty black tube I've saved.

OK, I was curious and looked at the item. The case is not my favorite. I'd prefer it to be all gold. The blue and white looks cheap, but it isn't a deal breaker.

I like rose lipstick and watched the video but it was useless. Host was shown from afar wearing the product. I would have liked to see it swatched on the hand--lipstick and pencil.

A review said it was a frosty pink. Is this frosted or not? Any further info on the item would be appreciated. TIA

@Big Joanie Keep the black cases from old lipsticks when empty or close to empty. If you putthe new lipstick (like Carmindy) in the freezer for a few hours, you can lift it out with your fingers and place it down in the black tube. In this case, I use a small white sticker on the bottom and use a black Sharpie and write "C" so I know Carmindy. I have "O" for some clear L'Oreal lipsticks, etc.

@PinkyPetunia I saw it prsented once before and swatched on the host. It's not a frost/metallic. It's a sheen finish.

I'm not as bad as some. I have a client who insists her lipstick and powder have a CC logo when she takes it out of her bag for touch ups. She brings her selection of Chanel lip colors to our session since I don't stock all lines.
