Burning moles

I have some mole like brown marks on my face. My dermalogist said those are for sun exposure over the years. She burned two of them a week ago to see if I like the result and would like to burn the rest of them. Insurance wouldn't cover it. It's been a week since she burned them, but it looks like a scab now. I am wondering if any has done it.
