I like Aveeno, but it's expensive for a body wash. For something less expensive I just like Ivory or Dial Body Wash. Those are the only brands that don't make me itchy and rashy. I love a lot of the Dove body washes too, but get a rash from them.

I have the "scum" problem when I use bar soap, too.

Over the years, I've used tons of different body washes at all price ranges. For scent, Philosophy and Bath & Body works are my favorites. The only brand that ever caused me a problem was Suave, and it was their holiday fragrance line. Gave me a very itchy rash!

I know lots of posters here love Suave, and that was just my experience. I've never had that reaction from any other Suave product, but I won't use the body washes anymore.

Currently, I'm using Caress.

I think I'll give the Aveeno a try and hope I don't get an infection "down there". I think in general, all bar soaps tend to leave more of a residue in the shower (especially the glass doors) than liquid soaps/body washes no matter if you have hard or soft water. I squeegee my entire shower after ease use now.

100% Pure body wash can be used everywhere, no parabens or glycerin. Dove products contain DMDM Hydantoin, a toxic chemical preservative.

When I asked for recommendations a couple months ago, HappyDaze suggested SheaMoisture shower gels. I bought all three and am still on the first one (Coconut & Hibiscus). Wonderful product and so reasonably priced. I bought mine at BBB and used my coupons.

BTW, I had been using Trader Joe's Tree Tea Tingle body wash, but I really needed to get away from the "tingle" (a.k.a., irritation) of peppermint and eucalyptus and maybe others. I don't even like those ingredients in general, but let's just say that's it was particularly tingly where I really don't want that kind of tingly. {#emotions_dlg.lol}

SheaMoisture makes excellent products, and the body washes are no exception.

My "go to" bath and shower product for the past 25 years has been Perlier's Honey Bath and Shower Cream. Honey has natural healing properties and I have fair, sensitive skin. I have never had a problem with soap scum buildup as this washes off clean. Not the squeaky clean that means you've stripped away layers of natural emollients from your skin but it just doesn't build up.

I use Olay or St. Ives body washes with no issues.
