Re: Body Lotion - Comments and question

I am disappointed with all my body lotions and am now looking for something else to use.

First off, I have an issue, and then a question.  When I use a heavier lotion, I like how it really seems to do the job for my arms and legs, but I hate how it feels on the rest of my body, such as chest and back, etc!  It feels like it's suffocating me and makes me hot and makes me feel sticky and yucky!  I almost feel like I should use one heavier lotion on my legs and arms and another lighter one for rest of the body.  This is a pain.  Anyone else have this issue?

Is there a lotion which is fragrance free that does a nice moisturizing job, that really sinks in, and does not leave that sticky feeling?  For me, it's like I seem to get "either or" - it either moisturizes well and is sticky and heavy, -- or --- it's nice and light and absorbs well but is not all that moisturizing.

All suggestions welcome!!!

I have the same issues and concerns that you mentioned in your post.  I am always in search for a good lotion without that sticky feeling too.

It would be helpful to me if you could  share what lotions you have tried that did not meet your needs.

Re: Body Lotion - Comments and question

@AngelPuppy1  Please, at least try, Smartly Unscented Hand & Body Lotion. 20oz pump for $1.99 at Target.

I know. That sound impossible. I have dry feet & I judge my lotions, by how my feet feel in bed.

I am not against paying whatever it costs to keep my hands & feet soft & hydrated & I have tried all of the things.

My 2 favorite body lotions are Unfiltered by Raw Sugar Blueberry & Thyme Body Butter. 6oz for $9.99 & the Smartly.

I just love the smell of the Blueberry & Thyme, but it isn't more hydrating than the Smartly. That is only $1.99!!

I typically would laugh at a 20oz lotion that is $1.99, but I love it!

I did try the Smartly body wash & bar soap & didn't care for either of them, but the lotion...I give it as gifts.

Beekman goat milk body cream is great stuff.  Very moisturizing and is not greasy, sinks in quickly.  I am addicted to it!

Re: Body Lotion - Comments and question

My favorite body lotion is Vaseline Intensive Care. I’ve used other products, but I always go back to Vaseline Intensive Care. It is not greasy or heavy, but it moisturizes my itchy rash prone skin & makes it feel good. I also like that it has no scent.

I have also used Suave body lotions which are fine. Gold Bond is definitely thicker, but absorbs well. I also tried Olay Quench and liked it.

I like Gold Bond.  You may want to try Aveeno.

I'd recommend the First Aid Beauty moisturizer. this product saves my skin every winter. I like that it's light, non-greasy and it keeps my skin moisturized.  I have purchased it every year here on QVC when they had the special.

You can't go wrong with CeraVe.

I agree.  My derm recommends it and they have lotion and the body cream with a pump for drier areas.  They also have nice facial products (cleanser, moisturizer, etc.).

Re: Body Lotion - Comments and question

I like the Gold Bond Ultimate Radiance Renewal lotion (in the gold pump bottle, not white) especially in winter.  It's fairly thick.  I always apply it to damp skin.  I think that might help some with the stickiness.  I don't generally apply all over my body though.  I usually just do legs and arms and any leftover goes on my chest.
