I've worn sunscreen under foundation since I was young. It may alter how my foundation looks, but since I've never put it on without sunscreen, I wouldn't notice how. I'm happy with the way my foundation looks! Smiley Happy

@Poodlepet2  I would enjoy reading the article you mentioned, but I can't find it.  Do you have a link?  Thanks.

@RedRedHair, I wish I had bookmarked it....if this helps, I believe I was scrolling through the lifestyle section.  There was an article about Marc Jacobs and a tattoo of a sofa he has....below tha main article was a "other topics that might interest you" and that's when I found the article about Bobbi Brown.

On the subject of sun screen, local news had a national story from Consumer Reports about the best sunscreens: for whatever it's worth, the spokesperson said chemical screens are better than physical......

Personally, I gave up on sunscreen a long time ago: I wear Sun Precautions clothing by Solumbra:.

If that's the same report I heard last night, I believe they said that far too many sunscreens do not come even close to having the protection that is stated on their packaging.

I wasn't listening too closely, but I'm pretty certain that I heard them name a couple sunscreens that did have the right amount, and one of them was my Coppertone Water Babies.

Interestingly, they said that just because one sunscreen in a brand gets good marks, it doesn't mean that they all do.

I don't wear a separate sunscreen only product on my face.  My moisturizer has an SPF 28 in it and I wear that everyday under my foundation, which also has a sunscreen in it.

If I'm going to be out all day without make-up, I still just use my moisturizer and I've never gotten burned on my face.

@suzyQ3, that is exactly why I have up on the sunscreen business and switched to protective clothing with SPF built in.

Every year, there are issues with sunscreen. When our kids were little and we would go to the beach, I saw moms always calling their kiddies to come get more sunscreen applied-almost impossible to apply because of the sand, and I saw those same kiddies with blistered noses, burned cheeks etc...

My kids? We wore swim shirts and hats by Sun Precautions....and in the end, the clothing costs less than sunscreen and is effective.

Well there is no way I'm not wearing some type of sunscreen so I can wear foundation.  I always wear an SPF either in a moisturizer or foundation. When I do wear makeup on my face, it's typically a BB cream with an SPF in it.
Do the math.
