Blow Dryer Question for Wenners.. cannot post to an old thread

Hi all.

I was going to revive this old thread:

http://community.qvc.com/forums/wen/topic/441794/viewlast/which-wenners-here-have-a-solano-dryer.asp...

but it says the commenting period is over. Interesting.... might be my computer because I am having issues with posting links also.

Anyone have any quick updates on blow dryers? That thread was from April, just wondering if anyone changed their minds....

The above thread talked about the Super Solano... but some wenners found it drying, and I believe those who said that, have hair similar to mine. I am OK at blow drying, but my hair is insanely thick and halfway down back.

thanks

I don't own an expensive hair dryer but I do remember reading about this dryer. Hopefully, someone will give you a review or other suggestions. If you google hair dryer reviews, I am sure you will find some reviews about the various hair dryer recommendations.

I was originally a nay sayer who thought a blow dryer is a blow dryer. I finally broke down and got a super salono. My hair is thick, but it's fine, so not quite like yours. I LOVE it and I can say for certain not all blow dryers are created equal. I don't know why this thing works so well, it just does. Fast drying, even shinier hair, less frizz. I got the tip about it here. Also, I got the tip,to buy from Folica...they usually have great sales. Good luck!

I got a Super Solano too and I get great results. I get the results like the models it's just that I don't have the skill it takes to blow dry the way a pro does. I do have deep luster and bounce and NO split ends. I've been practicing blow drying for years and I'm only now getting a foot hold. I have no one to say what I'm doing right or wrong. I watch videos on line and learn from them, there are thousands to teach you the technique you want to learn.

Re: Blow Dryer Question for Wenners.. cannot post to an old thread

I am glad to see this posted. I just dropped my favorite blow dryer the other day trying to do a blowout with a round brush. I was still trying to get the hang of the round bushes, lost my grip on the dryer and could not catch it fast enough. I had to go to work looking like a disaster because I was in middle of the blowout with no feasible backup dryer on hand. I was looking at dryers in Ulta and at a loss of what to choose with all the options from low end to high end. I have heard good things about Chi, Drybar, and Super Solano. I just couldn't bring myself to part with that much money on blow dryer, so I settled on Remington Silk dryer that was on sale for a steal. I have not had a chance to use it yet, but it had the ionic conditioning feature I was looking for. If I don't like the results, I may consider upgrading once I get the round brush blowout mastered. I can't afford to drop a $200 dryer! Lol

I paid about $75 for my super Salono original at Folica. I've dropped it multiple times and it's survived. Hope you love your new dryer! Of it cost $200, I doubt I'd have one yet! :-)

:-) I'm not sure about Folica's return policy, but if it's good, you may want to try out the SuperSolano Original. Fair warning, it's heavier than most dryers and that will take a few days to get used to, but my guess is you won't be returning it. And now that I think about it, it might have been a post by Bruingirl that prompted me to buy mine...thanks!!!

Re: Blow Dryer Question for Wenners.. cannot post to an old thread

I thought on a previous Super Salano or Folica thread someone posted about a recycling program where Folica will credit you $40 on a new hair dryer for sending your old one in but I cannot find anything about it on their website. Has anyone heard of this? Or did I dream it??
