YUP---my eyes started watering about ten years ago. First they thought it was blocked tear duct (it wasn't) then dry eyes (it wasn't). It is allergies plus aging plus too much computer time. Gets worse if I bend over to look at something on a bottom shelf in the store, and it gets worse in the fall/winter for some reason.

I do use the Tears Naturale Free every morning.

I can't complain though, because even at my age I don't need reading glasses and for that I am grateful!

Had to jump in here. I've suffered from the same thing--teary left eye. Had it "unplugged" twice only that wasn't the problem. Restasis didn't help. Turns out although it was only one eye, it was relieved for me by changing products. I changed my beloved eye cream, and I now wear cream eye shadow and cream eyeliner--no more minerals. I have amassed quite a collection of Urban Decay eye pencils, but I can't wear them anymore unless I want tears! With Bobbi Brown and MAC cream shadows as well as Bobbie's cream eyeliners, the problem has subsided. I understand that miserable feeling with weepy eyes. Wishing you lots of luck finding the right solution for your eyes.

It is definitely time to see the eye dr. Don't fool around with your eyes.

Good luck to you, and see an opthamologist. Have a great week. I have chronic dry eyes, and it is miserable.
I had a problem with dry eye awhile ago and a poster here recommend sea buckthorn oil. I was in such pain, I was trying everything. I was using eye drops all day, and used a humidifier ...I ordered the seabuckthorn oil and it started getting better. I take it every day and don't even need eye drops now.

Yes, make an appointment with your eye doctor. If nothing serious is found and you suspect seasonal allergies I recommend Claritin 24 hour tablets (NOT Claritin-D). They are the best thing I've tried for my watery and itchy eyes. I also use a generic brand of moisturizing eye drops when needed.

I had blocked tear ducts when I was a child. My mother used the hot compress technique to free them up (after taking me to the doctor).

I have small tear ducts that causes the same watering problems as OP. I am having surgery Nov 14th. Dr is putting in tubes in all 4 ducts and they will remain for 6 weeks to increase the size. Then removed. I am so tired of my tears splashing out of my eyes. Very frustration situation.

I have a friend who had this issue, it is not something to take lightly. Even if you don't like going to doctors, this is your eyesight & so I urge you need to follow through on getting medical treatment, before it becomes infected. She regrets not going sooner, because it now affects her with a great deal of pain every time she gets a cold, has an allergy, etc. Very tricky malady. Good luck.

OH boy - can I relate!!! I have the same problem - both eyes! - have seen the doctor several times. Have had the tear ducts flushed which helped for a short period of time but didn't last. Have had several kinds of eye drops - they, too, don't help. Sometimes my eyes are weeping so that people think I am crying. The next step is surgery which I am not looking forward to. It really is impacting my vision - sometimes my eyes are red and irritated. Can remember my mom having the same problem back in the '70s.
