My husband was going to Costco to get some gas so I asked him to pick me up soe Biotin since I was down to my last few pills.  I gave him my bottle so he would be sure to get the right thing.  Later, while I was at the grocery store I get a text from him telling me they were on sale along with this pic:

I buy the same at Costco as well.  This brand is chewable, one a day.  It takes awhile to start working, but once it kicks in I've found it really strengthens my nails.

I have peripheral neuropathy and doctors have found that Biotin helps that condition, nothing "cures" the disease but it's supposed to make you feel better. That's along with the hair and nail plus. You may want to take 10,000 mcg daily for PN.

I took biotin for many, many years hoping it would help my thinning hair. But all it did was make my hair stiff and brittle so I stopped taking it.

Can one take too much of this? I have not studied this at all. I also have peripheral neuropathy, and have not heard anything about taking anything to make it better.

@SilleeMee.   Don't feel badly.  I have good, thick hair but took biotin for a year or so (10,000 units) and it did absolutely nothing for my fingernails.  Waste of money.

My nails definitely grow faster, but that's like a 2+ year supply, LOL.

That's a nice savings, $5.00. I've never taken this brand, but ordered a bottle, just to try.

Some will have results with growing their hair and some won't...it depends on why you are losing your hair.  Regarding PN...I would do the research.  Hopefully this will help those who suffer with PN.
