I tried the biolage matrix exquisite oil which is good, nexxus diamond oil was better

How are these oils designed to be used? Are they for deep conditioning or similar to how Argon Oil can be used on the hair. I have very fine hair so avoid oils except for pre-shampoo deep conditioning. I prefer my deep conditioners to be oils as they work so well prior to shampooing ....... no leftover residue on the hair yet they condition beautifully. I picked up some of that Garnier Marvelous Oil for the hair that I read about here and am going to try it this weekend.

Would love to know more about both the Nexxus Diamond Oil and the Biolage Exquisite Oil. The names even sound good!

I meant redken diamond oil oops

Redken diamond oil and matrix exquisite oil makes your hair very soft and conditioned and seems to be repairing as well, takes away fris pretty well

Hi funloving!

This is what I know. About 5 years ago LOreal bought Biolage from Matrix (I love Matrix). They waited awhile and did change the formula. I have a sneaky idea it had to do with the new OSHA laws, and some of the ingredients, including 'cones. Usually when a company buys another company, they track sales for a cople years, then take a few products that are "lagging" and try to reach a new audience. Nuts, I know. Biolage, and especially the Balm were the "cadillac" of the line. So IDK what their stratage is. They actually changed the formula 3 times since 2006. I think.

I heard, IDK if this is still true, but you might ask Sally's for their Biolage "dupe", that is suppose to contain the original formula. I found this tidbit on a cosmetology site

Sally's version is based on the old version that was so popular. They may not see the need to change it. When a company buys a line, they do not change things right away. They track

Another hint is to sometimes to go one of the "outlet" or discontinued product sites, and see if they still have some old stock

you are so right.......the original formula was SO good. and I am so disappointed that they changed it ! have tried so many different ones and nothing compares.......!!!!! if you find any other one that works as well let us all know ! am so glad to see your post. Best to you !Kiss

Awww... so sorry I missed this until now gram! Yeah. Biolage was the best. I will indeed let you know and I hope all is well with YOU! Thanks for the kind words. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

BTW, I didn't see wackers post, but the tan turned out so pretty & next time I'll have my face done more than 2 passes. It's just a little color that makes a lot of difference.. looks beautiful on the face and wish I could keep this up! The place I went says it lasts about 5-7 days. I highly recommend a good spray tan! It's natural and doesn't accentuate things you don't like.. if you know what I mean. Smile

So good to see you SGH!!!! Hope all is well with you and your family. I've missed you guys too. Is our thread still here??? LOL

Thanks for the scoop Shoe Kitty. That's interesting. I know there's an uproar about the change on several venues. It's good to know the history... and I will try the Sally's version. I still have some of the old Balm formula. Not much though.

wackers- I just ordered a three set of Salux cloths on amazon.com. I'm still a prime member, so they'll be here tomorrow. They were a few bucks cheaper than the salux.com site, which I understand also has free fast ship.

Fun, we are all doing well for now.

Hope you had a nice weekend. We had storms today but not severe.

My husband and I went shopping and out to eat. Our son, DIL and grandbabies came tonight with fresh picked strawberries and ice cream.

Are you still using Wen?

I'm glad to hear that SGH! We too have had storms off and on. I'm glad your son lives close enough to visit with the fam on a regular basis. That makes it nice. For the same reason I'm here instead of Scottsdale. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Yes.. I have a wide variety of Wen. I decided to go naturally curly and put some of the Wen on hiatus, but I still use and love my six thirteen. I think I read you're now a full-fledged Wenner?

Wishing you continued good health and happiness sweet friend. We'll talk again soon, I hope. {#emotions_dlg.wub}
