I've read they changed the formula for the shampoo & it's not nearly as good. Anyone use long-term and notice a difference?

I just purchased a large bottle as I love this one in my rotation along with the conditioning balm.

Hate when they mess up an already good product. Grrrr!

Hoping it's NOT TRUE.

BTW, it's a sulphate formula.. probably not too popular around here but I love/d it anyway.

Guess I'll just chuck this bottle after reading bad reviews on the new formula. I'll stick with my Curly Girl Low Poo- Was planning to blow dry straight today for my birthday dinner. Oh well.

How can I be 1 year shy of 60 when I feel so childish? Actually it beats the alternative.

Happy birthday! And congratulations on beating cancer. Don't worry about what anyone here thinks. Just use whatever shampoo works for you.

Happy Birthday, Funloving. One last year to be able to say you are 50 something!!{#emotions_dlg.lol}

My Mother used to always say that she never felt like her chronological age and I never truly understood what she meant until I started hitting similar ages myself. It's like our minds are still back in our 20's, 30's or even 40's while the bods are more accurately reflecting our true ages. It is frustrating. I have read that some women feel they almost become invisible at around this age (late 50's onward) and I can identify with that sometimes.

Hope you have a lovely birthday and celebrate to your heart's content. Is today your actual b'day or the day you are celebrating? I am inquiring as my oldest just turned "40" {#emotions_dlg.w00t} this year on Friday, the 23rd. Now that just seems unbelievable to me that my first born can possibly be 40 years old - it just doesn't seem all that long ago that I looked down into his huge baby blues for the first time!

Nor does it seem that long ago that we were all celebrating my 40th which he remembers well - let's just say I did some singing out the top of the sunroof as we were coming home from dinner, down the mountain roads (we went to dinner in a small town about 30 miles up the Mountain from Colorado Springs.) Time really does fly.

Regarding your topic - I haven't used Biolage in years now so really wouldn't know if the formulas have changed. I did use that brand for many years but it's been eons now since I used it last.

WISHING YOU A GLORIOUSLY WONDERFUL AND TRULY HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!. {#emotions_dlg.tt1}{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

How are these oils designed to be used? Are they for deep conditioning or similar to how Argon Oil can be used on the hair. I have very fine hair so avoid oils except for pre-shampoo deep conditioning. I prefer my deep conditioners to be oils as they work so well prior to shampooing ....... no leftover residue on the hair yet they condition beautifully. I picked up some of that Garnier Marvelous Oil for the hair that I read about here and am going to try it this weekend.

Would love to know more about both the Nexxus Diamond Oil and the Biolage Exquisite Oil. The names even sound good!

kclady- I've never tried the oil. Always kept the moisturizing shampoo & balm in my shower to use in rotation for gloriously clean and shiny tresses. This was well before we were educated to the evils of sulphates and cones.. such evilness!!! {#emotions_dlg.devil2} I just hate wasting yet more $. Don't we all.

ginabfly.. Thanks for the good wishes! Much appreciated.Smile

wackers- As we get older time ticks away at warp speed, doesn't it? My oldest will be 39 this year - I mean, how can that possibly be? {#emotions_dlg.confused1} And a granddaughter who is now 16, driving, has a boyfriend... THAT was my daughter just yesterday. I swear! SO I totally relate.

Your 40th sounds pretty glorious to me! I think the 30's and 40's were all wonderful in terms of enough wisdom coupled with looking pretty darn good! And not being invisible, which sadly IMO holds some truth.

Your mother was spot on! And, her daughter is a true gem. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

Off to shower and try to pull myself together after a lazy rainy morn... (which I love)

Growing older = unwelcome higher maintenance - but I NOW enjoy & appreciate makeup & beauty products much more...Wink Go figure.

Edited again to answer your question. Yes, today is the day.. if you're in to numerology I'm a 05/25/55 - One of those crazed Gemini Twins... I think your son is on the cusp ??
