Best hair tool to achieve beachy waves

I grew out my shortish, flipped-out hairstyle (think Lisa Rinna) during Covid-19 and now want to try a "beachy-wave" style.  My hair is now shoulder-length with a slight wave to it.  What are your favorite hair tools (curling iron, curling wand, flat iron, etc.) for achieving loose beachy waves?  Also, what products do you use before/after styling?  FYI, my hair is fine and thin, but I have a decent amount to work with.  TIA for your help and suggestions!

I use the Beachwaver and it works well. I haven't found any hair products that I particularly like though.

I'm not good with my hair, the only thing that would work for me is a hairstylist!

I had to look up beachy waves. hidemf3.gif

I am cursed w/curly & wavy hair.  My hair looks like that naturally if I............

After wash & towel blot damp

Part hair in 4 sections

Brush straight & loosely braid (1 plait for each section)

Air dry overnight wrapped in do-rag

Unbraid & finger comb

VOILA!

So now I know what that style is called.

@joviolin  I second he Beachwaver curling iron.  I have long hair and use this when I wear my hair down and want a beach curl look. They have it in three different  size barrels depending on your hair length and type of curl you need.

@joviolin   This product will add texture and waves to hair.  It comes in Coconut scent or Lavender.  $12 for 2 oz. or $20 for 8 oz. by Herbivore. I use this product for texturizing my short hair and love it and it also add a light scent to my hair.  For beachy waves spray on towel dried hair and scrunch with hands/fingers and air dry or you can dry hair and spray and scrunch.  You can refresh during the day with a spray or two.   It gets great reviews on their website.  herbivorebotanicals.com   Under "Shop" select "All" and scroll down.

I use the Stylewinder. It is the easiest tool I have ever used to curl. I have long hair; it is course caucasian hair that is difficult to curl the way you are talking about. This tool just requires a little movement of thumb and forefinger at the base of the barrel and it turns the rod for you. I jus love it. No snags or tangles either.

@joviolin   Another vote for the Beachwaver styling iron. I have long hair and I really like it. 🙂
