Best electric razor for women's legs?

I had my legs lasered sp? a few years back. Some hair came back, so I don't have gobs, but some.

I hate shaving and want to try an electric razor.

Are the men's razors better?

Thanks!

Re: Best electric razor for women's legs?

Mima, I caught some flak from other posters but earlier this year I tried hubby's-and it worked like a charm. I had an electric razor for women, and it did fiddly squat: that women need electric razors made "for a woman" is hogwash. A couple of other posters tried my idea and loved it. I do want to say that I went on to get my own for the record. Poodlepet

Thanks for this topic! I am in the market for a shaver, now I know what to look for. Smile

I have often heard that men's are better.

I bought the same type DH has: it's a Remington with three round blades. I have not had mine as long as he has had his, but his is five years old and gets used daily-sometimes twice a day. It has certainly outlived the various ladies razors I have had that never worked that well to begin with. Poodlepet

I was reading online that you have to shave in a circular motion with a rotary shaver. I have a man's with the three heads and I guess I've never quite gotten the hang of it. Or else I bought a model that was too inexpensive - a Remington from Walmart several years ago.

Just looked at reviews online and the better ones run about $200 or so. I have very coarse dark hair (embaressing to admit it) on my legs.

Mine was somewhere around 160 on sale, but in the big picture, consider how expensive blades are for something like the Venus....it's ridiculous. I read somewhere that some company holds a monopoly on razor blades and that's why they are so expensive. At any rate, I have never paid attention to how I use my electric: I usually do a up and down motion and it gets the job done. Poodlepet

I hate those new Venus razor blades. They just don't shave close and you have to shave your legs way too often.

Sooner-and don't forget taking out a second mortgage to pay for them!!! I notice the price because my grocery stocks them by checkout. I have been in some drugstores where they keep them locked up. Poodlepet
