Best Self-Tanner per Consumer Search

Consumersearch.com names Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer as the best self tanner. For those interested, the parent company KOA does not test on animals and specifically refers to Jergens products.

oh really?? I thought Jergens was own by a company that tests. VERY good to know, thanks Crisso! Do you know if this is one of those gradual tanners or just some color at the time you apply it? I don't like gradual tanners but I like products like Tarte's rainforest product when I just want to even out my leg skintone without wearing nylons.

I thought so too. PC has it on her "testing list" but I emailed the company and if you do a google search (Jergens animal testing) it says none of the parent company's products tests on animals, including Jergens. Maybe this is because of the new EU rules which have come into effect? It would make sense because they have had some time under these rules to stop testing and they are a big seller in European countries.

It is a gradual tanner. If you use it everyday, you may get the same effects as the tarte one without any streaking.

Skinn, when it was Parthena had the best product for one day use for your (and mine) replacement of hose purposes. I so hoped Dimitri would bring this back....

I plan on trying Xen Tan soon. I started a thread about this and didn't get many responses. This product got excellent reviews. I will look for it at Sephora this weekend. I have used Jergens before and although I like it I can't imagine that it is as good as Xen Tan.

I've used the Jergen's and while it did tan, I found the odor was terrible and lingered for quite some time

I didn""t see your thread. I will have to look for it. I had not heard of Xen Tan. Is it a gradual tanner as well?

I have used it, and will probably get more soon. I really like Bobbi Brown and Clarins. But Jergans didn't make skip marks, puddles or squeegee lines, LOL! It also dried sooner, and you can build it. I am uber fair with freckles, and it worked well!

Thanks crisso for reminding me about it. I need a tanner and now. The winter has hit me hard, and my legs are day glow white!!
