@JeanLouiseFinch

What about addressing the pores from a cleansing and treatment standpoint first?

Nah, they just come with age. Tighten your face with your fingers and you'll see they are gone. It's the skin losing its firmness. Cleanliness would be easy to fix, but this isn't the problem

The good thing about aging with super oily skin = no wrinkles.

The bad thing about aging with super oily skin = big pores.

Honestly, I prefer the big pores.  I keep my complexion scrupulously clean - use a charcoal scrub occassionally and a mud mask on my t-zone.  Except for some stubborn ones on my nose, my pores are squeaky clean.  Just big - which comes with age.   What I discovered over the years is that the fewer products I use on my face, the "more invisible" my pores look.  Back when I was layering skin care product on top of skin products, my skin looked awful and my pores were clogged.  I cut back to 'one and done' and my complexion improved in a couple weeks.

I use a Cover Girl oil-control primer when I wear foundation to keep the 'greasies' at bay.  The more matte my complexion, the fewer pores show.  Also, I swear by IT Bye Bye Pores to keep my skin matte all day.

Mally's Neutralizing Primer - I wear this alone instead of foundation because it's tinted and camoflages everything from dark spots to large pores.

But, what works for me may not work for you - everyone's skin is different.

I have to disagree, @Judaline.  Enlarged pores are caused by sebum and crud being packed inside and stretching them out.  I used to have them until I devised an appropriate cleansing and treatment routine for myself.  Now it's a matter of maintenance.  I'm 60 and they're no longer an issue.
