Would anyone care to tell me which is the best moisturizing powder foundation?
I am presently using Mally's.
Is bare minerals moisturizing? What do you think of it?
I am older and personally don't care to have my face looking dry
Thanks in advance, Peg

In my experience, I haven't found such an animal. If I am going to wear a powder foundation like Bare Minerals, I just make sure to moisturize really well and seal it in with a primer before applying.

I would like to know also.

Maybe you'll find something on this list that will suit you:

Can a powder be moisturizing? That seems like it doesn't work.
Some powders contain water (like Halo, by Smashbox), but I didn't find it "moisutirizing" so much as "not drying." It's not about adding moisture as much as keeping it in.
Give Halo a try.

Jean Louise, fantastic site. I just bookmarked it and plan to print it out. Great source of info. Thanks for posting the link. ![]()

Several posters have talked about using a facial mist as a last step to set MU. Can be done during the day to refresh. Some mists tend to be more moisturizing than others. My face is oily so I can't help you, but others may be able to. Hint: Keeping a mist in the fridge in the summer for a fresh pick-me-up.
Posters have said finishing with a facial mist can leave MU looking dewy.

You're welcome! If you are looking for "best" versions of anything, you just plug it in at the top and see what comes up - powder foundation, moisturizer, vitamin C serum, refrigerator, dish detergent, etc. It's not just for makeup and skincare.

I'm also looking for a moisturizing foundation. Everyday Minerals has a jojoba based mineral powder. I haven't tried it yet but have samples coming in the mail. The samples are free, you just pay for shipping.
