I really like IT CC foundation. Makes my skin glowy, and looks soft and creamy all day. Definitely a dewy finish. There's alot of coverage with this, so a tiny bit does the job. You do have to work with it to get an even application. Guess you can build if you want more. I use the fair..I'm very light, with pink undertones, and this is very natural looking, and not at all yellow.
Another luminous foundation is Peter Thomas Roth...super easy application.

I totally agree that powder foundation is out & any type. It's almost scary to apply it and every little wrinkle shows up. I am a 60's gal too. I like Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and her new Fluide foundation is quite amazing.

Been looking for a dewy finish forever, that doesn't feel like a mask. I need very light coverage as my skin tone is even. I want "glow !"

I like Chanel Vitalumiere (SPF15). Less expensive and fragrance free is Clinique Supermoisture foundation. kmbcincy I often turn to Clinique as everything they make is fragrance free except the fragrance

Finding a physical sunscreen that doesn't leave that feeling you describe is really hard, especially when you have to apply a decent amount to cover your skin thoroughly. You might want to go to a store like Sephora and ask for several samples before you find the ideal sunscreen for you. Clarins makes a really good physical sunscreen with titanium dioxide that is SPF 40. Algenist also makes a good one that is SPF 50, but it is both physical and chemical. Shiseido is another brand that makes a really good SPF 50 sunscreen, but like Algenist it is both physical and chemical. I think you should get samples of all those I described to see if you can find one for you. I like them all for different reasons. Another thing to consider is that sunscreens that contain either titanium dioxide or zinc oxide (i.e. physical sunscreens) tend to be heavier and sometimes when applying makeup on top, the makeup just doesn't hold well. I mix my sunscreen with a little bit of primer (right now Laura Geller's champagne spackle) and let it set, then use tinted moisturizer and concealer and I go *really* light with my powder application. That way my skin is protected but still looks dewy and natural. I hope this helps. Sorry virgosun :-)On 11/30/2014 glam_girl said: I love Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer in lieu of foundation for a dewy/natural look for daytime at any age. Start with a good spf, then primer (I love Laura Geller's spackle for a dewy look), then tinted moisturizer, then a good concealer only in those areas that need it (blend well!) and finish with a light dusting of powder (not translucent, just a good powder matched to your skin tone, Laura Geller's Balance and Brighten is a good one if you can find a match for your skin tone). It is what I recommend to most my clients that need light to medium coverage after a consultation (I work as a skin consultant for a major company). I agree that Make Up Forever has a lot of great products and they offer great coverage for those skins that need it, but for some types of skin they can be drying and heavy looking if not applied well. I believe they started with performance and theater make up and that sometimes means heavy looking. Every skin is different of course, but a heavy looking foundation can make anyone look older. Ladies just take your time finding a good foundation or a good tinted moisturizer, concealer and powder combo. By the way, Make Up Forever also makes great concealers that hide a multitude of issues.Sorry to hijack virgo sun. glam_girl, what do you recommend for a spf? I prefer physical over chem. spf and can't really find something that doesn't give me the feeling of wanting to wash my face and certainly not apply makeup on top of it. I was using JM. tia & thanks for your post. ~smiles, SnowKita

My very fave after trying about a dozen is Nars Sheer Glo---LOVE it. Still love my Colorstay for dry skin, but the NARS finish is just lovely.
