Beekman Soap scent change?

Has anyone else noticed that the Beekman Heirllom Violet soap scent is not the same as it was about a year ago? My father asked me to order some in December 2016 for my mother's birthday. When they arrived I wrapped them and saved them until January for her birthday. When she opened them she asked what scent it was becasue it didn't smell like the other bars of Heirloom Violet that she previously had. By then, I'd thrown away the packaging and pack slip, so she kept them. Last week when the soaps were offered on Evine once again, I ordered four more bars of the Heirloom Violet soap, and the scent was definately not the same as the soaps I had from previous orders. I called customer service and sent them back, but now I am afraid to re-order as I've gotten soaps that are not the same as they used to be when ordering nearly three months apart. Something must have chaged in their formulation or scent. Comments?

I honestly can't say anything about a scent change, but after I ordered Heirloom Rose scent, I looked up reviews to see comments on the fragrance they use. Many complained about the fragrances not smelling true, and seemed to have a synthetic smell. Personally, I like the products, but the Heirloom Rose doesn't smell anything like a pretty fresh rose scent. It has strange chemical smell, fake. I'm going to keep the jars of cream, and just finish them up...maybe layer an essential oil on top to help the scent. Same for the bar soap, nice, creamy, but cheap smelling. Keep an eye on the reviews, you'll see many comments on the fragrance. Let's hope they work on it...seem like good guys.

@Dazlin - I heard the boys say the Heirloom Rose is being discontinued - maybe they will pull it until they get it right. I love the Orange Honey Blossom soap and the Sweet Grass face wipes.

My question was about Heirloom Violet, not Heirloom Rose, which I have tried previously and found to be a strong, artificial rose scent. I did however really enjoy the Heirloom Violet until my last two orders which did not resemble Beekman's or any other vendor's violet.

Yes, I heard that too..being discontinued end 2017. Hope they'll replace it with a nicer Rose scent. However, I just posted on my other post, that my son in law hugged me, and asked what I was wearing because he loved it. Go figure...I gave him the other jar for my daughter...they love it! But I wonder why Beekman is discontinuing this scent...too many negatives?? Anyone know why?

Poppingirl...I know you asked about the violet scent... I was trying to say, it seems MANY scents have complaints. So you are probably right, it has, or may be altered from the original.

Sorry if they changed the scent. I have only purchased 1 set of the violet. I like it but have other favorites so never bought another set. Have no idea if it has changed. If you use FB leave them a post or you could email them on their website.

I did not know they were discontinuing their Heirloom Rose. Did they saw why? My sister really likes it.

I absolutely 100% feel the Rose and or any future dc'd scents will be replaced. These guys are totally into marketing their brand and will strive to create a new interest to excite the buying public.
