Anyone else use these? How are you liking it? I tired it twice when they 1st came out & my hair was so waxy coated feeling. I decided to try it again the other day & my hair was so nice, soft, shiny, not fizzy & felt so much fuller. Since I have used it 2 more times now my hair is back to feeling like it has that waxy coating again.
I did some research to read about the Shampoo Bar Transition you have to go thru. I'm going to keep using it with ACV rinse here & there to see what happens. I guess the transition period is different for everyone plus some never transition. I hope my hair makes the transition if I can get my hair to look like it did after the 1st wash. You can also use a baking soda rinse or a citric acid rinse to help remove buildup.
Hard Water is a factor when using shampoo bars so it's best to get a filter. That's the next thing I will be looking into.
How is your hair doing using shampoo bars? Has anyone tried the Charcoal Shampoo Bar Beekman sells? How do you like it?

I received a bar in a kit several months back. I tried it once and didn't like it (my hair felt like it was coated with something too, but I can't exactly say it was waxy. I passed it off to DH and he actually likes it. Since then I've repurchased for him.

Beekman is not sold on QVC. I believe it's HSN.

I use the charcoal bar all the time and love it. It doesn't produce as much suds as the regular shampoo but does the job. I have never had any problem with it and have been using it for about 6 months

No, Beekman 1802 personal care products are sold on Evine (and the Beekman website, of course).

@JeanLouiseFinch I figure that coating feeling is from the shea butter. I read it's from a chemical reaction from the water? I don't know if I can wait for that feeling to go away or not. I also don't see how you can have a transition period where that would eventually stop? I want to try the charcoal but it's sold out so I bought the 3 pack so I could get it to try. If I like it I can buy the 3 pack next time. The charcoal does not have shea butter but argan & vegetable oils. I guess the charcoal should absorb some of that. DH tried it & so far he likes it. I the shorter your hair the easier it would be to use.

@bigbaglady I bought the variety set so I could try the charcoal. Have you tried the orange or honeyed grapefruit? Do you ever feel like you have buildup & use an ACV rinse or some other type rinse to remove it?

I can't use shampoo bars due to my fine hair, it comes out too frizzy even with conditioner. I alternate my shampoos and conditioners and my hair has never looked better.

Holy Grail item for me. I swapped over to these bars around April, started with the orange blossom. It was gunky the first time I used it until I followed with a conditioner and vinegar rinse. Never got that icky feel again. Used that for over a month and preceded onto the grapefruit bar. For me, that one adds body but I lose a bit of hydration. I've only used the charcoal three times so far. That one feels wonderful for the scalp, incredible really, and does an out-standing job at cleansing the hair. It doesn't seem quite as nice for building up the body of my hair as my favorite, the orange.
My hair is thicker, shinier, more manageable and has hardly a split end. A HUGE deal for me is the affect on the greys I have. I don't have a huge amount, but they came in kinky and very noticeable. As these are growing out, the new (grey) hair coming in is smooth and shiny. As my hair is half way down my back, there is a noticeable line which hair has never been touched with a sulfate shampoo and which has.
Hope I'm making sense - I have one eye turned to the Olympics!

no just charcoal one because i can't stand shampoo or conditioner that smells. It bothers my hair and makes it itch. I only use the charcoal shampoo don't use any conditioner at all. It comes out very smooth and nice so don't worry about the conditioning.
