Re: Bed Time Ritual - Go bare face or put serums/moisturizers on?

Tonight, I thought it would be just faster to jump in the shower and wash everything off. After my shower I just put on a night time moisturizer - L'oreal Age Perfect (I love this night time moisturizer).

I also put on a little hand cream and cuticle oil before jumping in bed.

Re: Bed Time Ritual - Go bare face or put serums/moisturizers on?

I always put something on...depending on the season, it does change....in winter, I'll use Dr Denese's Retinol Serum followed by her Dream Cream and then I add my eye cream and argan oil or Vaseline to my lips. In summer, I use just the retinol serum and exclude the Dream Cream....I also preface this p.m. routine with Dr Denese's Firming Facial Pads..I really like them! I've read many times that anti-aging products and such are more efficacious if applied at night...well, my skin does look better in the morning lol!!!

3. Wait 20 minutes

4. Apply Retin-A .025 cream

Re: Bed Time Ritual - Go bare face or put serums/moisturizers on?

It is my understanding the skin works to repair itself at night so I apply all of my heavy hitters with actives at night. I usually layer at least 2 or 3 serums and a moisturizer.

daytime....just 1 serum and a moisturizer/sunscreen under my makeup.

I use my Clarisonic and at the least put on tea tree oil and moisturizer. I try to always put on a night serum and my Ziana gel.

Re: Bed Time Ritual - Go bare face or put serums/moisturizers on?

I cleanse with the Clairsonic and SSC Glycolic Cleanser, follow with Elysee Pycnogenol serum and WHINE serum and Hope in a Jar moisturizer. I few times a week I use Retin-A microgel.

I'm not really sure if the WHINE and The Elyssee serums actually benefit my skin, but I'm all about preventing rather than treating wrinkles and I've used them for so long I'm afraid to stop, lol.

I put my oils and serums on at night. Im usually running late in the morning and don't feel like messing with them or waiting for them to settle in before continuing with SPF and makeup plus I like to wake up with fresh looking skin.

Re: Bed Time Ritual - Go bare face or put serums/moisturizers on?

After cleansing with clarisonic and Fresh Soy or Wen Tea Tree I use First aid Beauty Facial radiance pads then apply Paulas Choice BHA gel with hydroquinone then I let that set in while I do other things then right before bed I apply a serum and also a moisturizer if my skin needs it.

I rotate through a few serums depending on my skins needs including Estee Lauder Advanced night repair, Paulas Choice C15, Paulas Choice Resist retinol, Estee Lauder Perfectionist, Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic Acid & retinol, Olay Regenerist. Sometimes I use a mixture of 2 or 3. I also rotate my moisturizers including JM Argan Oil, Paulas Choice Skin Recovery and Estee Lauder Hydrationist.

No matter what I will not use anything unless Paulas Begoun as rated it Good or higher on her Beautipedia site.

Works for me, I dont even need foundation, Ive faded my sunspots and my skin is radiant and bright.

I wash my face with my Mia and Olay Foaming Face Wash Face.

A few minutes later, I put on Proactiv's Clarifying Night Cream. I have done this for many years and just love what it does for my skin.
