Beauty Purchases This Past Week; 12/4/25

Good morning!  Another Thursday has arrived.  Sometimes they seem to come around so fast.  Let us know what you purchased this past week.  There were some great sales so hopefully you were able to get some good deals.

Here's my list:

Haruharu - Black Rice Probiotic Barrier Essence.  This is different than their Black Rice toner essence.  It is white and has a creamier consistency but it's not thick.  I love it. Feels so nice and moisturizing.

The Lab Direct - Power Punch Vitamin C.  Purchased from ShopLC at a great price.  Bought 3 bottles.

Laura Geller - Ugh, her sale got me.  I bought 2 more Blushes - Tropic Hues and Raspberry.  Also, purchased Color Luster Lip Gloss in Gilded Honey.

Looking forward to reading everyone's posts.  If you live where it is so very cold and snowy, please take care and stay warm.

@JudyL I also purchased the Haruharu Black Rice Probiotic Barrier Essence. Thanks to all who mentioned liking it. I have not opened it. I do have a Tatcha Essence open, so I will leave it be till that is used up.

I hope everyone enjoys their purchases!

I try to take advantage of BF sales once a year to stock up on essentials or try new products. This year the theme for new products was pigmentation if you don't notice! Melasma runs in the family, I don't have it but working on a pesky dark spot that nobody notices but me.

Celimax Pore+Dark Spot Brightening Serum - This one had the new Melazero V2 technology which helps break down existing melanin. Sounds too good to be true but I am sucker for new technology!

TOSOWOONG Arbutin 7% + Tranexamic Acid 4% - The reviews looked good although I am a little wary of trying a high concentration of Arbutin since it is a derivative of hydroquinone. But I think I will try it on some dark spots on my arms.

Minimalist Brightening and Anti Pigmentation Serum

Minimalist 3% Tranexamic Acid Face Serum

Amazon had a BOGO offer, buy any product & you get the brightening serum for free. These products have great reviews, so why not.

Topicals Faded Brightening and Clearing Serum

This has all the brightners known to mankind, throwing the kitchen sink & preventing any more from ever coming to the surface.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water

Late to the game but wanted to try this one. I always used a non comodogenic oil to remove makeup followed by a cleanser.

Alpha Skin Care Revitalizing Body Lotion

Never tried this one but it is popular here & they were having a great BF sale.

Lab Direct - Power Punch Vitamin C - got the last one coz I have been off social media spending time with family.

Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Protein - Q had the cyber sale, great value for 100 servings and a staple for me. I skipped my AS on the smaller size & got this one.

I had many more things in my Amazon cart but vacation time with family probably saved me. I was hoping to try some tinted sunscreen but I didn't have time to research & tinted is hard to match.

Re: Beauty Purchases This Past Week; 12/4/25

Hi Beauties!

I'm done Christmas shopping.  Well, that's not entirely true.  I'm still waiting for ideas for DSIL.  He's a hard one to shop for.  If DD doesn't suggest something soon, he'll be getting money.

Here's my list of beauty purchases -

Proot Tetrahexydecyl Ascorbate (THDA) Vitamin C Serum - since it was on a Cyber Monday sale I picked it up so I’m ready when my current Power Punch serum is used up.

Shu Umera Lash Curler - another solo cup game prize

COSRX 2% Alpha Arbutin Discoloration Care Face Serum - a staple for me.

The Ordinary Multi Peptide & HA Serum - Revisiting this one.  It’s been several years.  It contains Argirelox which is more effective than Argireline.  🤞

The Lab Direct Power Punch Serum - this has been out of sight for a long time. Hence why I ordered the Proot VC serum.  SilleeMee posted that the Power Punch was back on ShopLC so I stocked up with three bottles.

Tretinoin Cream - a staple for me. Picked up refills yesterday.

Salux Cloths - just a small bundle.  I get the regulars, not the extra hard, and was able to take advantage of their free shipping without a minimum order required.  The website itself is a bit  primitive so you need to select accordingly.  The customer may do a color selection or allow the packers to choose.

ELF Lip Oil (Divine Wine Shimmer) - received as a gift.  It’s pretty, just a tint of color and not overly sparkly.  It feels nice too, smooth, not tacky or gloppy.

@JudyL  and everyone,

Good Morning.

-Essence Flawless Face Trio

Colored powder, mostly pulls pink when combined and is around $6.00. It blurs and brightens better than  higher priced powders I've tried. I love pink powders for my fair complexion and this is the best I've tried. It does have a very slight fragrance but not too much. Love it!

Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream-

Bought 3 during the recent Ulta Sale. I've been using for a couple of months over my Timeless Vit C in the mornings for the added luxurious moisture that my dry skin needs and as an added bonus It has 3 forms of vit C, including Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (high up on the list). This will be my forever daytime moisturizer....I love love love it!

@JeanLouiseFinch

I love that elf lip oil. I got the 'Citrine' to wear over my Cherries in the Snow lippie and it looks like a million.

-I picked up anotherIMG_1471.jpegGold Bond Pure Moisture Body and Face lotion. I believe @SilleeMee recommended it at one time. Love it for my under eyes and neck. Fragrance free.

-Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in translucent honey. I like it. Will I buy again? Not sure. I've been using some Milani pressed powder too which is cheaper.

-While in Sephora I sampled the smell of LIBRE by YSL. OMG!!! Smells delicious!!

Re: Beauty Purchases This Past Week; 12/4/25

[ Edited ]

I've been a VERY bad girl this week.  I don't normally purchase so many beauty Products.

Laura Geller.   Purchased two of her Seamless Finish Full Coverage Concealers.   Neither one was the right shade for me.  I was given a partial refund for both but didn't have to return them.  Gave them away.

a Limited Addition Retractable Angled Kabuki brush.  I do like the brush.

Sephora

(1)     Armani Beauty Golden Hour 24HR Lightweight Skin Tint with Hyaluronic Acid  in F3-Fair

(2)    Armani Beauty   Mini Luminous Silk Natural Glow Foundation in 3.5 ( light to medium, olive) and 4.5. (light to medium, neutral )  Haven't received them yet so not sure which shade will work for me.

                                                                                                                                            (3) HUDA BEAUTY  #FauxFilter Matte Buildable Coverage Waterproof Concealer in
Coconut Flakes 2.7 Neutral - light skin tones with neutral undertones and Sugar Biscuit 3.5 Neutral - light-medium skin tones with neutral undertones.  Already received the 2.7.  It is a tad too light but I can get away with it if the 3.5 doesn't work out.  I do like finish, coverage and creaminess.

Givenchy

(1)  LE ROUGE SHEER VELVET Lipstick in   N°16 - NUDE BOISÉ

(2)   LE ROUGE SHEER VELVET MATTE LIPSTICK N°37 - ROUGE GRAINÉ

Macy's

Givenchy Prisme Libre Glow Serum Blurring & Hydrating Foundation in   3.5N light to medium with neutral-peach.  Definitely being returned.  It's much too orange for my skin tone.

Re: Beauty Purchases This Past Week; 12/4/25

@Boehm Collector  I, too, have been very, VERY bad this week.

I also got the Haruharu - Black Rice Probiotic Barrier Essence. I like it very much so far, and appreciate its being mentioned here and shared.

My nuface mini quit. It isn't that old. So, out of desperation, I ordered a FOREO Bear 2 go. It's smaller, and cheaper than the Bear. I'll see if I like this as much as the many others I've owned (and lasted longer than the nuface mini.)

Biopelle Empelle serum. This is my second purchase. It's so expensive, if I can find something cheaper that works, I will not buy this again. It is supposed to support estrogen depleted skin without hormones.

From Little Seed Farm: travel pouches of goat's milk moisturizers, unscented body oil, and natural deodorant starter kit. I use this deodorant already.

From Target (suggested by someone here, thanks) Dossier Trio fragrance gift set Vanilla Lovers--for me. And Palladio eyeshadow stick in silver mauve shimmer. If it has glitter it goes. (haven't received it yet)

Talika eye patches and eyelash serum

I know there's a few things from Amazon, but at this point I'm embarrassed.

@SilleeMee @JeanLouiseFinch you have tempted me with the lip oil. Sigh.

Re: Beauty Purchases This Past Week; 12/4/25

Picked up body washes for stocking stuffers:

2, Old Spice exfoliating washes for men.

Neutrogena coconut almond wash.

Will pick up some nylon scrubbies

Thats it for now...will probably pick up more as the week goes on.

I am eying YSL lip oil stick, in Nude Lavelier...I saw the sale, but the shipping threw the deal off.   Wish I could go try it, but no one sells YSL around here, and I have Dillard's and Sephora, and Ulta.

Enjoy your purchases!
