I have noticed that on my television and only when Beauty IQ is on, the presenters/hosts/vendors faces are really filmed very close up ..very close.
No problem with this, but it appears on my end to be odd.
I feel bad for the people on there who may have some imperfections or bad break-out that day as it's so close!
It used to look fine on my TV. I used to see the info on the product and the whole scenario - now it's a huge face.
Is this something new?
Edit: just saw a farther away shot during the hair video (a heated brush) but Sandra's face as pretty as she is was right up close to the screen as were others this week like Elise and Roberti

I noticed this too , they seem to have the lighting increased also. Beauty IQ really looks filmed on a tight budget. I think they were going for you tube tutorial look. The problem with that is ,You Tube has grown up a lot and most of them look really slick and high tech now.

BeautyIQ has the harshest, most unflattering cameras and lighting. Where are all of the slick, advanced filters and lighting as used on QVC? Furthermore, the hyper close up shots used are claustrophobic.
It is obvious they are cutting costs on beautyIq. No fancy product displays, no filters, harsh lighting, only 2 or 3 camera shots. The hosts have to juggle multi products and hold them up to their head-level. I do believe they are learning as they are going, with very tight budgets.

I have Spectrum and I don't get Beauty IQ, which is actually a good thing because I would buy more beauty products than I already do!

I suspect that BEAUTYIQ was set up as a test for receptiveness by viewers as well as a test to see sales based on the time allowed for each presentation ( the "how to "part
which is time consuming. I JUST WISH I COULD S E E the ID numbers ad that they never laugh! THE SOUND IS SO OFF from one of the mic's, I assume. Whe they laugh the sound is like fingernails on a scratchboard at least o my expensive Samsung Smart TV.
O quality of presentations, I imagine once the concept shows it ADDS to sales vs taking them from one ofthe other QVC channels, upgrading w ill happen in production. I also think its targeting the 15-34 market while QVC reaches the more mature marketplace. THE MATURE 50+ is overlooked despite their buying power, admitted to me by personnel
when I called PHILOSOPHY. That could be changing as Im seeing more of MIRACLE WORKER than in the past. HOPE SO, but Im concerned about the price points (exc Philosophy) when this age group is the target
PLEASE TURN UP THE VISUAL AND DOWN THE VOLUME, QVC, WHEN BEAUTY IQ IS ON THE AIR? DEFINITELY WHEN MALLY IS ON !!! Change item ifo to something we can see vs. grayand small. I understand the close ups, to a degree, as it is aboutvusage but backing out a bit when not demonstrating usage would be a great thing. !! Im totally confused on it, tho, in terms of pricing ad how log it is valid. I cant view live shows, so i miss the first broadcast then fill my tv with EVERY AIRING!
BACK at last,
Karlana

AMEN !!

IF YOU WAT TO SEE IT AND GET THE "Deal" its best to watch and BUY IT NOW while its airing live online. The deal airs in he 1st hour, I think. M-F 7p-8p. After that, Im clueless on how long special pricing is valid.
Maybe it's WOW DEAL hour one then flex pay and/ or Good Deals in the rest .
I would LOVE TO KNOW WHEN A PROGRAM HAS ALREADY AIRED. Like "PTR/10/10" OCTOBER 10 so I wont keep recording the same programs over and over. I just erase it upon recognition, so its not a resellingbopportunity.
I want more KBEAUTY tho I love the current 2 (?)

Beauty iq is live only from 8 pm-12 a.m. Monday-Saturday. After that it’s all reruns. I just do a google search to see what The programming is. I also check Alberti’s Facebook to see when he’s on. I’ve been enjoying Courtney Cason lately since she’s taken it down a notch. Love watching Browgal, Doll 10 and the Tarte shows, but only if Alberti or Courtney are hosting as they are respectful of the people doing the tutorials and not interrupting every other sentence.
Hosts need to learn that the product is the star of the show. Not them.

@nrm, I agree with your assessment of Courtney Cason's hosting performance on Beauty IQ.
Elise seems ok when I see her compared to how she is on regular QVC shows. I'm a huge fan of Alberti's. He could make consider ordering dairy products if he was broadcasting cow milking from a barn.
