The product is Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF40.  Now I don't wear any type of coverage because I could never find one that didn't look or felt heavy and drying.  This one I saw on my FB page and it's a serum and here is the description:

What it is: A clean, light-coverage, tinted mineral SPF 40 serum that boosts skincare benefits.

How it works: Your tinted SPF will never be the same. This first-of-its-kind formula fuses skincare, makeup, and sun protection into one easy step: a weightless serum that leaves your skin looking like skin. Features SPF 40 coverage with Non-Nano Zinc Oxide to safely shield skin from UVA, UVB, UVC, blue light and infrared rays.

Created with a blend of Hyaluronic Acids, plant-based Squalane, and Niacinamide, ILIA's Skin Tint evens tone, softens fine lines and imperfections, and dries down to a natural, dewy finish. And this super serum doesn’t stop there: it also creates a natural barrier for your skincare—sealing in hydration, plumping skin, and boosting any antioxidant effectiveness by 200%. Plus, it’s silicone-free, fragrance-free, chemical screen-free, oil-free, non-comedogenic, and safe for sensitive skin. This is SPF, made super.

It's supposed to give a "dewy" finish.  If you know this line, could you give me your opinion if you've tried it or give a look at the ingredients and give me your opinion.  I'd appreciate it.

I can't remember who else is good at advice with ingredients but feel free to chime in.

I would rather use a separate sunscreen. I don't believe in combining UV protection with skincare or color cosmetics to use as an all-in-one product. Personally I would never use a product like that Ilia.

I'm sorry, @rms1954, I'm not familiar with this brand.  However, the thing about products that incorporate SPF into the imix is that you need so much that it's impossible to get the right amount since you would really end up overdoing the foundation part.  You'd be better off using separate products.  Truth be told, I am not a big enthusiast about topical spf on a daily basis anyway.  I get plenty of sun protection through my assorted daily supplements. I don't avoid the sun but if I'm going to be out in it for along time I'll use a SPF mineral powder.

If you end up trying this product please report back.

@SilleeMee   @rms1954   I agree. For me, a tinted moisturizer, skin tint or foundation should be just that. The buzz words for most newer foundations (of any coverage) is to include serums, moisturizer, spfs, etc.  Lots of promises from one product.

I prefer to use my own skincare (in the percentage I choose) and my own choice of sunscreen. You'd have to use almost a tsp. of a foundation to get the amount of sunscreen recommended for protection.

This product would be a pass for me, too.

Re: Beauty Experts Product ?

@rms1954 I am not an expert.

I haven't used the Ilia line before, but that skin tint looks really nice.

I am a person that does accept SPF in my foundation.

My skin breaks out from every thing ever, so if I find a foundation that cuts out another step I go for it. And, it has worked fine for me.

There are a lot of reviews for the skin tint on Amazon & Sephora from people that have tried it, if that would help you.
