I was browsing through Amazon today looking at makeup brushes, etc., and came across a makeup brush drying rack. What a great idea! I have never really liked laying my brushes down to dry. This rack has all sorts of different sized holes for brushes and you can use it to store them to - up for use, down for dry. According to reviews, its easy to assemble so for someone like me with limited counter space, you could take it apart when not drying your clean brushes. Its very resonably priced - around $10 - and I think certainly worth trying it out. Its on my wishlist for my next order along with one of those silicone brush cleaning pad thingies.

Oh what a neat thing to have and it looks so convenient especially if you have a lot of brushes. I only have a couple of brushes so I just use a rubber band and wrap it around my towel rod in the bathroom like this:

I found (but didn't buy) this at my local WM the other day. It was smaller than this and came with a drying rack.

What a clever idea! I'll have to try that.

@SilleeMee im ignorant...how do I get the rubberband on the towel rack rod? Are your rods removeble? ( Mine are not)

I have a brush drying rack I bought on Amazon. I bought it awhile ago, so don't remember what the brand name is, but it looks like one of the (overpriced) Benjabelle brush trees.
I like to use the rubber band on a towel rod trick too, when I only have 1-3 brushes to dry. I like the brush tree much more for multiple brushes, because you can set it out of the way. I only have one bathroom, so putting multiple brushes on the towel rod would be inconvenient for me.

OMG what a great idea! I have a favorite many years old Bare Minerals brush that after 2 days still makes a wet spot on a paper towel when pressed down on it so just now finished doing as you show in the photo. This should do the trick! ![]()

I just did this and was wondering how am I going to get this done. Does she disassemble that rack???? Once I looked at the towel rack w/brush and rubber band in hand the lightbulb went on in my head. It's actually easy. Hard to explain though but I'll try.
Hold the rubber band in the back of the rack and just bring the top and the bottom of it towards you and stick the brush into the top and bottom part that you brought forward. The one I used was just a little too big for a snug fit so just pulled the top part then the bottom part forward and did a double wrap around the brush.
It's one of those things I think once you are standing there thinking about it a lightbulb will go on in your head too.

First put the rubberband around the brush handle then place the brush against the towel rod and pull the rubberband towards the back of the towel rod then up and over the end of the brush like this:

Yeesh, I did it a different way but your way is even better. The drawing you gave her was an excellent idea! It's one of those things that you look at the photo and think "how in God's name......" but that drawing makes it crystal clear and makes you realize how simple it really is.
But then again, I'm not the sharpest pencil in the box.
