Bare Minerals Problems

I purchased A198969, Bare Minerals Multi tasking makeup with locking sifter in Original Bisque. Wanted to cover dark spots, etc. as a primer. Well -- I am no youngster and it seems to cake and be drying. Also, I keep trying to get the product out of the little holes and into the top of the lid but hardly anything comes out. I know they say you only need a little but it's frustrating.

There were all raves about this product so am I nuts, or maybe doing something wrong?
