Vanicream helped me...comprised my skin barrier. I'm serious painful. Thank God! Since healing use only Vanicream Daily Face lotion and Vanicream OG cream.

My skin never looked better. Vanicream was established in 1970's by two pharmacists. Made in USA. Amazon offers best prices. 🥰

If you're face is peeling, why would you put an acid on it? Sounds like you're using too many products and your very sensitive to something. Perhaps a dermatology visit is in order?

Way to go, pouring salt on her wound, @Kachina624.  We have all done "things" at times. In her OP she said she'd be making an appointment with a dermatologist.

@JeanLouiseFinch   Are you now the designated scolder?  Says she didn't know hyaluronic is acid.  Well, she knows it now.

Oh, c'mon, do you really think it was kind or necessary to shame and embarrass @Dazlin when she's in a predicament and already knows she did something wrong?  She was looking for help, not condescension.

@Kachina624    If you'te referring to hyaluronic acid.  It is not acid.  It is one of the better moisturizing  agents for your skin, that is why it is in any good skin care product but I do agree seeing a,dermatologist

@Teddixat    Oh I guess it's just a "pretend" acid and they call it acid, for what reason?

@Dazlin   Are you using Retin A which is actually much stronger than Retinol .  If you are using Retin A I presume you have a prescription

What's the difference between Retin-A and retinol?

Both are retinoids. They're both made from vitamin A and promote faster skinturnover. And they're some of the most proven, effective, and powerful options for treating skin issues ranging from acneto signs of aging.

Retinoids come in prescriotion form and in a range of over-the-counter products. Prescription-level retinoids fall into these groups:

  • Tretinoin, including the brands Atralin, Retin-A, Retin-A Micro, and Renova
  • Tazarotene, such as the brand Tazorac
  •  Adapalene, such as the brand Differin

All three groups prevent the buildup of dead cells in the skin's pores and follicles, and all three promote the growth of healthy cells. Common side effects include dryness, redness, irritation, and skin peeling as well as making skin more sensitive to the sun.

Retinol is found in many products that don't require a prescription.  Retinols are much weaker than prescription retinoids. Unless vitamin A is listed as one of the top five ingredients and the product is packaged in an airtight opaque bottle, what you're getting might not be all that effective.  Neither retinoids nor retinols should be used by breastfeeding or pregnant women.

PERHAPS YOU  SHOULD  SEE A DERMATOLOGIST TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE

@Kachina624    Good question

What Is Hyaluronic Acid, exactly

Hydration is the key to maintaining a radiant complexion, but some skin types can't tolerate the harsh chemicals found in many over-the-counter anti-wrinkle creams. Hyaluronic acid can effectively deliver the moisturizing benefits your skin needs without causing irritation. It's a common ingredient in moisturizers, cleansers and makeup products. It's also found naturally in your skin!

Using hyaluronic acid topically can smooth out wrinklesand help skin retain moisture deep below its barrier -  it works best when applied right after cleansing and right before moisturizing. Want an intense boost of hydration a couple times a week? A facial cream mask featuring hyaluronic acid can provide a noticeable difference in skin's appearance after just 15 minutes. This adaptable ingredient that can work on any level you want it to.

Thanks for sharing, @Teddixat.  HA seems to be a common ingredient in many skincare products.  I use a separate HA serum as well for added hydration.  I also take a supplement so it works from the inside out for skin and joints. 👍
