Shiloh , IMO , the activity of washing the face , may be just enough to make the skin sensitive . Especially if a washcloth or sonic brush is used . That may be the reason you have to wait a few hours to apply retinol . The moisturizer is soothing tho , so the skin tolerates it immediately . The BHA is the most effective /amazing skin product I've ever used . I started with 2% which was very effective & tried the higher percentage out of curiosity ....but I found the 2% to work just as well .

Yes I use a muslin cloth to wash my face it took me about 1 month for my skin to get used to retinol. First I did every 3 days then every other day. Now I can use it everyday. I've been using the bha 2% @ night but I would like to try it during the day instead. I just wasn't sure if it was better one way over another.

It really doesn't matter whether you use BHA day or night, but I agree that using it in the day would be better for you because it could cause irritation if used with your retinol product. You just want to make sure that the BHA is the first thing you apply to your skin after washing so that it can get into your pores to do its job.
