BEAUTY BOXES, SAMPLES & GIVEAWAYS

I’ve seen what arrives in various Beauty Boxes and when given a choice of samples at checkout, I usually choose perfume or lip gloss, etc. Foundation/concealer samplers are usually in a medium shade, too dark for me. Skincare, besides only being enough for a 2 or 3 time trial is too risky for me to result in redness, irritation or worse. Besides, can you really make a decision to purchase after 3 time usage?

What do you like to choose? Have you purchased a full size product after a small sample?

Re: BEAUTY BOXES, SAMPLES & GIVEAWAYS

DH uses some of the same moisturizers as I do after he shaves.

Recently at Dillard’s we were given a free sample of a new product moisturizing Jelly. DH used it, liked it so we purchased the full size.

One reason I frequent Ulta because they have a great selection of smaller sizes to try.

@I am still oxox    I do the same thing.    She gets all my sample viles and packettes, and is THRILLED.

L’Occitan is the main one I buy from and I love getting their free samples. I usually choose their shea body butter, facial moisturizer or almond milk moisturizer. I save them for when we go on short, overnight trips so I don’t bulk up my luggage with the larger sizes. If I order from Philosophy’s website, I’ll get samples of Purity Made Simple or their Exfoliating Lotion.

@Shanus

I agree for skincare and foundation 2 or 3 uses is not enough time especially for those of us with oily skin or acne prone skin I love bath products so always choose boby oil or scrubs

Given a choice, I choose perfume samples. (and yes, I've purchased full size based on samples)

Like others, anything I do not use, I donate to our women's shelter.

Re: BEAUTY BOXES, SAMPLES & GIVEAWAYS

DD and I were getting several different B boxes and we would share--but after a while, I kept getting nasty perfums and TONS of mascaras and awful matte lipsticks and shampp samples. One box I got Josie Marans highlighting setting powder, full size and then the one thing I did buy again,  was that cone shaped sponge thing----can never remember the name--they have a cleaner for it and brushes---OMG---it is the bomb!!! the best brush cleaner ever. then we got ton of sparkly gross colored eye shadows too. and black felt tip eyeliner---that we both threw out---we stopped the madness and no more b boxes.
