Has anyone tried both? Which do you prefer.
I have been using the BE serum foundation in 02 Bare Shell which is a perfect color for me.
I have very dry skin and do like this but am also interested in the newer one BE has, complexion rescue.
I don't need a lot of coverage. My discolorations or anything to cover up. I only use 3 drops(sometimes only 2) of the serum foundation.
If anyone really likes this and can tell me which color would match with the 02 bare shell since I can't seem to find which shade would work or if I really want to try this, sure can use some help, thanks

I love complexion rescue , I couldn't use the serum foundation as it did not go on smoothly.
My color in rescue is buttercream, and it is a lovely light coverage. Instead of a brush, I use
a beauty blender to apply, and it looks like bare skin, only better!

Doglover, Bare Shell is cool. The first shade in Com. Rescue is cool, the second is neutral so the lightest one will have the same undertone as Bare Shell. Not sure if it will be too light though.

thanks, think the lightest one opal 01, would be too light and was considering either buttercream 03 or vanilla 02, I sort of think opal 01 may be too light but am afraid buttercream 03 may be too dark?
Bare shell 02 is perfect in the serum foundation as far as a color match but I would like to try this rescue complexion. I didn't put any on at Ulta when I was there but looked at the charts and just going by them I was thinking 02 vanilla? None were close to my serum foundation 02 bare shell but since vanilla is also an 02, maybe?
I am a cool but can wear a neutral in most things but not a golden tone shade.

Doglover, I think testing at Ulta is a good idea with losing shipping here. Don't get buttercream, it's a warm shade. If the first 2 shades are too light, you could try the next few shades down. I know your Ulta will help - or you can call Bare Minerals and ask for the equivalent to Bare Shell.

Hello,
Hope you find the one for you.
Bare Linen in serum, but Natural in CC.
Just need a little color, I'm a neutral, and found the colors didn't exactly match up in moving from one to the other.

thanks, am almost sure I would be either vanilla or buttercream and leaning toward vanilla but maybe I will go to Ulta and see what those 2 look on my hand/wrist.
Bare shell in the serum foundation is perfect so I am trying to get as close to that as possible.
I have neutral undertones. I don't like a yellow look on me. I am fair with dry skin but not porcelain, more light I guess you would say since I think the bare shell is considered light.

Does anyone know what would be good shade comparable to the medium in the powder..

I find that in Bare Skin the Bare Shell is the perfect color. I tried Opal when Complexion Rescue came out and it was way too light in color with a yellow undertone that wasn't right for me. One day, I heard Leslile was going to be on QVC and watched. She said that the Complexion Rescue shades are very forgiving and said that IF you are in the light or fair category, Vanilla would be fine. I tried Vanilla in Complexion Rescue and found she was right. It works much better than Opal and doesn't have a lot of yellow in it like Opal does. I have also seen Birch offered on several sites that sell BE and BE's own web site. I don't have the luxury of a store here to try, but it is between Opal and Vanilla on the color chart and says it is for people (like you and me) who have pink undertones. Complexion Rescue is "freckle friendly" and doesn't have the coverage that Bare Skin offers. I often wear it under another foundation (like Bare Skin or It CC) or use the Complexion Rescue and then cover areas where I need more coverage with a concealer.
